There's something to be said about Tom going home after such a close-call versus an inferior team. The whole team could be playing mad, and that would be more than enough to cover the 13.5 spread.

Looked like a top playmaker for them in opener. RT @RichCimini WR Jeremy Kerley (concussion) officially ruled out by #Jets 4 tomorrow night.

Best run-blocking tackle in the NFL Week 1, per PFF? Eagles first-round RT Lane Johnson.

Numbers Never Lie ‏@ESPN_Numbers
The Eagles ran more plays in the 1st half on MNF (53) than they ran in their entire previous MNF game (48 on 11/26/12 vs CAR).

Per @PFF Hayden was right there on each target, but gave up first downs on each of his three targets to Hilton, Heyward-Bey and Wayne.

I know I'm probably mad late but Chip Kelly really ran a successful formation with two tackles lined up at WR
eek.gif
also had a play where we put jason peters in the TE spot on the right side of the line and had celek line up as the LT.. shady got 34 yards and a td

mccoy got 11 yards on the play you mentioned.. both were runs

I guess it's not a vibe... Mike Morris, former long snapper for the Vikings used to be on KFAN 100.3 Sports Radio here in Minneapolis, and he would go off on rants even 10 years after that memorable 1998 season about how Cris Carter was the biggest **** to all of his teammates, and he would constantly go into the coaches office and complain/yell about different players on the team and such about their performances.

Why is Tomlinson taking about what happened in the locker room, I hate when ex players do that.

:rollin :eek This guy Chip :{ So glad the Cowboys don't have to play y'all into week 7, teams are going to need all the tape they can get. #1 thing that will stop that offense for these next few weeks will be Vicks dumb decisions.

im a Pats fan and i wouldnt take that spread if my life depended on it . weve been lousy the last few years in terms of covering huge spreads

2011
20.5 spread against Colts , won by 7

2012
13.5 spread against Cards , lost the game by 2
11 spread against Jets , won by 3
13.5 spread against Buffalo , won by 6
14 spread against Jacksonville , won by 7

like i told people from the preseason in this same thread, who talked about what chip wanted to do as being gimmicky..

it's all based in very traditional football and formations.. it's taking advantage of the traditional ways teams defend those plays.. and the quick tempo doesnt allow defenses to get into sub packages

i still cant wait to see when he uses the 2 TE sets (celek and ertz) with james casey as our FB/H-back.. casey only got 2 snaps on monday.. hell he ran a couple plays with 4 TEs in the preseason

Very interesting. I'll probably stay away.

LT used to be my favorite player.
Used to think the guy was :hat both on and off the field.

But near the end of his career, and in recent times he's lost a lot of respect from me.

Don't know why he's being such a snitch revealing locker room antics from the past, but its really stupid.

Never go full Tiki.

That said, I still dig LT. And that story was funny, he also spoke highly of Rex Ryan from what I saw.

I see the Bucs as the next 49ers/Chiefs. Tons of blue chip talent on both sides of the ball but suck because of coaching. Get a coaching upgrade next year and become very strong overnight.

I mean Schiano is bad.

He's not that bad, he motivated the players and changed the entire environment from the Morris era. I put the blame on Sullivan who is the OC. I remember when Chip Kelly turned down the Bucs gig too.

Not to jump the gun because I think David Wilson will be fine, but the Giants RB situation could be the thing their fans and NFL fans remember from "The 2013 NY Giants" unfortunately :{ It's one thing after another. And now this:

Da'Rel Scott injures knee in practice Wednesday

Posted by Josh Alper on September 11, 2013, 3:20 PM EDT

The Giants brought back old friend Brandon Jacobs on Tuesday after working out several running backs, but an injury at Wednesday’s practice may force them to make another pass at the guys they chose not to sign.

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that Da’Rel Scott, who replaced David Wilson after he fumbled the ball away to the Cowboys for the second time in Sunday night’s loss, suffered a knee injury in Wednesday’s practice. Per Vacchiano, Scott went for tests on the knee and the severity of the injury remains unknown.

Michael Cox, a seventh-round pick in April, is the fourth running back on the roster with Wilson, Scott and Jacobs at present, so an injury that keeps Scott out of the lineup for an extended period could lead the Giants to add another body if they aren’t convinced Jacobs is able to step right onto the field after being pretty much inactive since leaving the Giants after the 2011 season.

Scott, a 2011 seventh-round pick, ran five times for 23 yards and caught five passes for 51 more in Week One.

His value is/was so understated where they got him.

Its not fumbling he doesn't know how to block you don't fix that in a week.

Directed at Shox,

But when did I say it was just fumbling? i saw those plays where Wilson totally whiffed (and there were many), and I can distinctly remember shaking my head when George Selvie benefited on that play down by the goal-line and made a play because of a David Wilson mistake.

But I think he's the best option they have by far, and blocking is very important, but there's no one else. The retread Brandon Jacobs is still recovering from that knee, which I bet is bigger issue than he lets on.

They've been saying that for a while now though. Some of you guys don't get how atrocious he is in pass protection and just seem to ignore it. Holding on to the ball is a problem sure but his value is gonna slip by a lot by not being out there on 3rd down/passing downs. That's a big problem for a running back to have for a team that's going to have to shoot it out almost every game.
