So dudes got beaten by the bellhops in front of their threesomes?

Yambs Rescinded.

I think you guys are selling my dude assassin a little short here.

There's a very decent argument to be made here that Revis is getting the ranking cred based on past achievements. And that might be perfectly fair. But we all know Schiano's zone scheme hasn't been showcasing him like it should be. That's not a slight to his talents, but he still hasn't been at his absolute best for 2 seasons.

And you'd have to be insane to put Peterson over Haden IMO.

I like Peterson a lot but he gets beat a lot, Verner has been talked up a lot but I seen probably 20 minutes of Titans football this year.

I will go out on a limb and say that fundamentally, Pat Pete is not a top 5 CB based off some of the good corners that are in the league. He's still young but, for a top 5 pick, you're pretty much expected to produce fast and abundantly. Him and Morris Claiborne have made their expectations REALLY high based off their years at LSU and their subsequent top 5 pick status.

Same with Joe Haden and Janoris Jenkins. Both were elite college starters at UF. I will say this though, being that the NFL is pass-happy now, a cornerback naturally, even if the game were a run-happy league can NEVER take a play off like a wide receiver can. A cornerback has to have his head on a swivel at all times for a run, pass, potential offensive player looking to block him, etc. Receivers are at a HUGE advantage because they can either be a blocker, or route runner on any given play.

Patrick is a huge corner though. He came in at what, 220lbs? I'm wondering if he's lost a little weight. Because to be that big, and play a position as demanding as corner, and be a special teams player, condition has to be factored in.

Peterson still is a supreme playmaker though. 12 int in 2.5 years. He's already as good as advertised.

Aldon Smith turns himself in on weapons charges
Aldon Smith continues the process of dealing with his multiple legal entanglements.

The San Francisco 49ers pass rusher surrendered to authorities Tuesday night in connection with felony weapons charges, Santa Clara County authorities confirmed.

Smith immediately posted $75,000 in bail after he was processed. Smith is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 12 in connection with the charge. He has an additional court date on Nov. 19 to face misdemeanor DUI and drug charges.

Smith's self-surrender was part of an agreement with authorities after he was charged with possessing illegal assault weapons on Oct. 9. Smith had been in rehab at the time of the charge, stemming from his DUI arrest on Sept. 20. Smith has been on an "indefinite absence" from the 49ers.

The weapons charges stem from an ill-fated house party Smith threw at his home in 2012. Two people were shot at the party, and Smith was stabbed. Investigators searched the home and found three illegal assault weapons amid a cache of firearms.

Niners coach Jim Harbaugh reportedly met with Smith at the team facility Wednesday. Harbaugh said the linebacker "looks great." NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport spoke with Harbaugh and asked for a Smith update.

"The best approach is the day-to-day approach," said Harbaugh, who wouldn't speculate on a Smith return date. "And just focusing on having a good day today. Getting the most out of today and avoid the 'if this, if that, in a week, in two weeks, in a month' timetable type of talk."

did you just post a 6 year old video in reference to a conversation about whos currently the best CB in the league ?

I thought he was moreso exposing the clowns who didn't have Jordy in their top 5 when he was in college.

He had an emotional breakdown and checked into a clinic for help.

It's more serious that football from what's being leaked out.

Anybody know what the prank was that made dude quit the Dolphins, did they tell him he got traded to the Jags?

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Dolphins RT Jonathan Martin has "gone AWOL from the team the last couple days."
Per Glazer, Martin had an incident in the team cafeteria this week when teammates jokingly said they wouldn't sit at a table with him. Martin reportedly "flipped out, smashed a food tray on the ground, took off, and they haven’t seen him since." Glazer adds that Martin has entered a treatment facility, though it's unclear what kind of treatment he's seeking. The Dolphins have listed him as doubtful for Thursday night against the Bengals. Tyson Clabo has been reinserted into the lineup at right tackle. It's unclear how long Martin will be away. The Miami offensive line is in shambles.

Man I'll never forget that game against Buffalo his rookie year. Hadn't seen a Raider constantly make PLAYS like D Mo did in that game in almost a decade.

As for McClain, did any of you guys who follow Bama/SEC football see it coming? Thought he was a safer than safe pick when we drafted him.

^Some Eagles fan, shox something, said he was good and his head got him out the league. Never watched a pro game in his career obviously :lol

Man he's been pubic enemy #1 in our season thread for years but idc even with certain glaring limitations I still think he could have been a serviceable run stopping linebacker in this league.

Couple of Haloween costume ideas for you guys.

Whenever someone gives you candy tonight, just give it right back to them and you're Eli Manning.

Stay at home and put in no effort and you're the Jets vs the Bengals.

I figure I'm going to go to the last half of a party and kill power to the house for 20 minutes before I go to the door to be the 49ers in the last super bowl

Can anyone explain to me why the Browns game is at 4:25 when they are playing at home?

It's more time for tailgating so no complaints, just wondering.

Sources: Some Jaguars Players Got Beat Up In London After Sunday's Game

Deadspin.com

We don't have any names, but we do have two stories from two different sources, probably about the same group of players. In either case, the story ends with the players losing a fight and going to the hospital. The fight involves either women and hotel security, or nine men with brass knuckles, depending on whom you ask.

Let's start with the first version, from a source in London: Two Jaguars players attempted to enter the team hotel, the Grosvenor House, with six women on Sunday. This would've been sometime after the San Francisco-Jacksonville game at Wembley Stadium, a Jags loss. Hotel security denied entry to the coterie of ladies. This led to a fight of some kind—also a Jags loss. The two players were treated at the hospital.

In the other story, three (not two) players went clubbing after the game, whereupon they were confronted by nine (nine!) guys, some of whom supposedly wore brass knuckles. This version comes from a source who knows the players but who wouldn't give us their names. There was a fight, also a Jags loss, followed by a trip to the hospital. Two of the players looked "pretty rough," according to the source—"black eyes, cuts and bruises." (This source also dismissed the coterie-of-ladies story, pointing out that NFL security would've stepped in at some point.)

It's entirely possible there were two separate fights that night in London, and two separate trips to the hospital. These are the Jags, after all. We're working off the assumption, however, that we're dealing with two game-of-telephone versions of the same incident. Anyone know anything more? Email us: [email protected].

hope more info comes out about this... but.... it won't.... because the NFL wants to expand so bad, that this would hold owners back IMO
