I missed most of that in the WIR but it seemed like **** just hit the fan :lol :lol Once again, NFL >>>>>>>.

This is a bigger game for Houston, we have to go to solider field and win.
Hopefully we give Brandon the fits and cutler chucks a couple picks.

Texans are in a similar mold to the Pack, which scares me since Cutler doesn't fare well against the Pack and other 3-4 teams. I expect to see a lot of runs from Forte and Bush to limit his turnovers. Marshall vs. JJ is going to be fun to watch.

Defensively I think Tillman will do a good job in covering Dre. He's really upped his man coverage skills the last two seasons and I expect Dre to earn every yard he gets because Tillman is very physical.

I also think Tillman hasn't gotten over this

The Saints might be gettng ready to go on a run 8o

I laughed when I saw that. Slowed down Suggs a bit though. Definitely seen Ben do that a few times as well, and he has some lbs to him

Wow, Burleson will most likely miss 8 months according to the Detroit Free Press...Burleson's base salary goes from $825k this year to $4.5 mil next year. Unless he restructures his contract, his Lion days are most likely over...

I figured he was going to be cut anyways with the leap in pay and the recent Young and Broyles picks, Vanden Bosch will probably be cut or restructured too.

wait.

Rice / Shady / Foster are all pretty much the same type of back, Can shake you in open field, break away speed, Cut at the line and gone and catch out the back field.....

Did this guy really leave the option to put Foster at the bottom of the list?

Foster isnt nearly as elusive as rice or shady, especially shades. At least Foster is in a offense that actually utilizes him. We know Andy Reid is allergic to running the rock. And Cam Cameron forgot Ray Rice is the best player on his offense, both will probably be fired soon.

Foster ain't up there with mjd rice and AP? Ight. It's not like he's been around the top in yards from scrimmage.

He puts up big numbers, but you dont give any of that credit to the offensive system hes in. If we're looking at just pure numbers then Charles would be up there with too.

Every player is a product of system if you want to get technical ...

Foster knows how to read the line, make the correct cut, has the speed, can make people miss in small or open space, has the patience and has hands out the back field.

Hate to see Burleson end up like that. He put some pretty good years in with the Vikes and Hawks, and was a very reliable complement to Megatron. Forgot this would be his 2nd major leg injury too :{

that's like saying drew brees isn't a top tier quarterback because the system he's in dictates throwing the ball all over the field. good players put up numbers, no matter the system. quit using that stupid argument to detract from arian foster.

and notice earlier i said yards from scrimmage. meaning he catches out of the backfield and makes plays there too. or is that a product of the zone blocking scheme too?

^ Foster does have all that. Agreed. But you just gave all the same attributes of Frank Gore as well. Most people wont consider him a top 5 back.

But not every back is a product of the system they are in. AP has one of the worst o-lines in the NFL but still puts up monster numbers. Guy is just on another level. AP, MJD, and Steven Jack are 3 RBs that defenses consistently stack 8+ in the box against and still put up numbers.

I'm a Charger fan, farthest thing from a Texan fan...but to not put Foster at least in Top 5 RB's is absolutely ABSURD.
I'm not even saying it as a fantasy standpoint...the guy is a complete package. Speed, agility, blocking, catching, patience, awareness, strength...

Top 5, to say the least.
