aside from williams and stewart, didn't they sign tolbert this season too? the sure way to get fired as a GM is to sign a 3rd running back when you already have 2 good ones
Take that a step further... The RB's for the Panthers are averaging 68 yards per game... :{

who's the not big, not fast WR in your avy? is he the guy that strikes no fear in any DB's heart?8o

Gotta have the chicken for the chicken salad.

jk but seriously, week 7 was bananas, i hope week 8 can live up to it as well. i have a feeling my chargers are going to lose to the browns :lol

Everybody's off the Cam Newton bandwagon now huh? What's changed....

This may be obvious and I haven't been paying close attention, but it sounds like Cam is unlikeable in person, which would lead to the media ****ing on him after a while. I have no way to back that up other than that scouting report that was posted up earlier of Cam before his draft and other things I've read, so if someone can prove otherwise then I'm certainly willing to listen. Either way, it's clear that particular groups of people aren't interested in celebrating Cam anymore.

Cam has always been feelin himself alittle too much. Cant count how many times his team has been down big and he runs into the endzone and does his little celebration dance. Latest example was againt the Giants. He scores a TD but his team is still down 20 points. This guy does his Deion Sanders to Superman endzone dance like he just won the game. But thats just his mentality.

******** fans, I hear a lot of stuff that Haslett and Raheem Morris are constantly butting heads.

even heard in Rams game Morris was given the defensive play calling reigns in the 4th quarter bc of Haslett's non-adjustments...

am I hearing correct? if so, gotta believe Ol' Jim is gonna be outta there quickly right?

I had a friend that worked at the apartment complex that Cam lived in his whole rookie season and he said Cam was a real nice, humble guy. Said he wasn't the type to go out to the clubs around Charlotte and come back there at all hours of the night and never had any complaints.

Jeremy Shockey also lived there in the same building. Completely different stories about him :lol

Yea....that's the word. Supposedly Shanahan stripped Haz of play calling duties and gave them to Morris. A lot of people were refuting that, but I tend to believe that this actually happened.

IMO, Haz is a dead man walking. My gut is that the Skins are going to wait until the dominoes fall with other HC's/DCs around the league before they make a move to get a replacement for Haz. In a perfect world, Rex Ryan gets canned and the skins bring him in to run the 3-4.

All that being said, Raheem Morris isn't above blame. Front 7 have been decent. The secondary has been the weak link. It's a combination of coaching and the players that the team has.

In fairness, injuries and cap penalites have killed this team. I totally expect wholesale changes to be made in the secondary going into next year. Only starter(s) I expect back are Josh Wilson and Brandon Meriweather.

In the 2013 draft, they should use all of their picks on defensive players from the SEC :lol

Raheem is your secondary coach double?

You guys at least have a 2nd rounder next year right?

Yo JJs07, I thought the word in ******* nation was that Raheem is the next DC...

I don't think Woody is going to fire Tannebaum or Rex. He's just happy turning a profit & the Jets making any kind of headlines....

Yea...he's the secondary coach. He's been trash also.

And they do have a 2nd rounder. With Freddy D's status up in the air now, might have to use one of the picks on a TE - from the SEC, of course.

I don't think he has any experience running a 3-4, if I'm not mistaken.

With the offense being so good, we need a DC in here who knows what they're doing running this type of scheme. I'm all on board to do what it takes to bring in Rex Ryan - if he's fired. We're now 3 years into this 3-4 experiment with middling success (if you want to call it that). The switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 shouldn't take this long to turn things around. Look at the Texans. Wade Phillips comes on board and they are elite within 2 years. Give this ******** an AVERAGE defense at best, and we're probably looking at a 5-2 record right now at the very worst.

A lot of that has to do with the players who are on the roster...but also the coaching. Something has to change.

You can't underestimate the effect those injuries have on the defense. Orakpo and Kerrigan are HUGE pieces to lose for a defensive front. An already average secondary will look a lot poorer with those guys on the sidelines.

I think you mean Carriker, and you're right. I'll only use the injury excuse up to a point, b/c the Skins aren't the only team dealing with guys on the mend. I think the cap penalties are what's hurting this team the most. They were pretty much handicapped financially as far as making offers to other FAs around the league to come to DC. It's going to be more of the same in 2013, so they have to make sure that they do their due diligence before the draft. Have to hit an absolute home run with one of those selections. All that being said, it's an exciting time to be a fan of this team. Took a while, but they seem to be trending upwards. Future is VERY bright.

off subject - let's talk guys who wear visors and the companies that supply them.

If I'm not mistaken, the visors that the players wear in the NFL are team issued. You won't see a logo on them like what we do in college FB (Nike, UA, 3-stripes, Oakley, etc). Since Nike is now outfitting the teams, I wonder if we'll see swooshes on the visors instead of "********," "Jets," etc.?

RG III.....NFL found a better image for the "black QB" to market their brand. Sorry Cam.

They need to separate all that nonsense in Sports. People are too fickle, too fairweathered.....instant gratification. Cam had one of the great Rookie seasons last year, the NFL is a game of adjustments.
