I took these stats from another site. However, I'd love to get folks' opinion on this? On the heels of Ray Lewis' retirement, where do you all think London Fletcher stacks up? Is he HOF worthy?

Look at the #'s

Ray Lewis (RL) vs. London Fletcher (LF)

Years Played - RL: 17 ... LF: 15
Combined Tackles - RL: 1,336 ... LF: 1,685
Total Tackles - RL: 972 ... LF: 1,134
Assists - RL: 364 ... LF: 551
Sacks - RL: 41.5 ... LF: 37
Pass Def - RL: 67 ... LF: 73
INT - RL: 31 ... LF: 23
TD's - RL: 3 ... LF: 2
Forced Fumbles - RL: 17 ... LF: 18
Super Bowl Rings - RL: 1 ... LF: 1

VERY similar.

I remember someone posted a comparison of Ray's and London's stats in a WIR thread I believe a couple of years ago (was it you?

) and I was surprised at how similar their stats are.

Fletcher doesn't have the accolades that Ray has in terms of Pro Bowls and All Pro selections which may hinder his HOF changes but he is severely underrated.

great post. id say london fletcher is a hall of fame player. didnt know his stats and rays were close. london fletcher has played 2 years less as well.

It probably was me :lol

Even after a few years, the numbers are still very close. I mean, Ray is WIDELY regarded as a top-5 LB to ever play the game. Personally, I'd think that London Fletcher, despite being criminally underrated, should be in the top-10/15 at the very minimum.

My point being how hypocritical it is to just dismiss denver's eleven game win streak even though you put stock in mental toughness. You'll say that a loss is a "good" loss (NE vs SF because they fought back) but Den has "bad" wins ("11 games blowing the doors off inferior opponents").
You're not being consistent. Picking and choosing what accrues mental toughness. Which was my point all along. Which is why I brought up the Patriots. If Denver's win streak means nothing, what is the state of the Patriots considering they almost lost to JAX? Less than nothing?
wasnt the turning point in denvers season being down 24 points at half to the chargers , did that not give them confidence and mental toughness.........................

why do you think fletcher is so underrated? obviously not being on a big time defense like the ravens contributes to that. it's pretty much been the story of his football career i guess. he was an undrafted guy, right?

his streak of never missing a game is pretty damn impressive, especially considering the fact that he's a bit undersized for the position.

He builds resumes for former and current ******** in his spare time for his Canton phantom stats hall of fame...

He's been EXTREMELY productive over the course of his career but has often been overlooked by guys who play on better teams/defenses. I think his first PB berth was with the Skins a few years back. Just look at the #'s...they stack up right next to Ray Lewis, and he's regarded as one of the best to play the ILB/MLB position. I think he'll wind up in the hall when it's all said and done.

Shut your simple, gump *** up for once.

I was reading that no teams were willing to pay his buy out.

ap has had a great season but unless he wins the mvp (unlikely) and superbowl (unlikely), terrell davis has had the best season for the 2000 yard club.
