Actually it's Cassel and as of right now they're neck and neck....
I meant he moved in front of Ponder; sorry I assumed people knew none of them were "expected" to start this year

Raiders seem to be happy with Matt I wouldn't expect Carr to start until like week 12.
So 1.5 games then.I give Matt 7 picks before he's pulled.
Derek Carr has always looked good on tape, at practice, and against the Wyoming's of the world. Can't wait to see what happens when he faces an NFL defense.

You really like to slander Carr at every chance you get
Never understood using the term slander when pointing out a players faults?
Slander is :
"______ isn't very good!"
Why not?
"I just don't like his face"
Not playing legit defenses in college is a pretty big fault.
Your right, you can't, but you can use that as a basis for evaulation.
I mean scouts do that, don't they?
Carr slander Dude was the first pick on a expansion team! no line, no offense, no nothing, he was given the keys to a whole new franchise! that's so much pressure for any QB, he was sacked a billion times every single game. dude never had a shot. i bet in the right situation Carr would have been a pretty good player.

my bad.We are talking about Derek
But I agree with everything you said about David
The point is that you can't predict a QB's future based on who his competition was in college. Evaluate his skill set, physical ability and mental aptitude/durability and then put him behind center. If you didn't you end up having SEC QB's throwing picks for every NFL team each Sunday.
Gabbert has prototypical size and excellent speed for the position. Shows the ability to make the right pre-snap reads. Possesses a quick release and has the arm strength to make all the throws. Well-balanced passer that rarely misses on short-to-intermediate throws. Extremely mobile to extend plays and fast enough to move the chains. Vocal leader and hard worker.
