Stuart Scott remained on this Earth until the last ESPN game was played. Almost as if he was still working if you will and wanted to make sure everything went off without a mistake. Truly amazing if you think about it. Just thought about that.
WWE logicCan anyone answer why Dez Bryant didn't get flagged for being on the field without his helmet and arguing with an official? There's no way around that not being a penalty, unless I'm missing something.
The ref that threw the flag was calling face guarding on Hitchens.
The head ref said the flag was picked up because face guarding isn't a penalty in the NFL.
He would always give his love to the crew that worked with Susie Kolber because he was supposed to there and she always acknowledge that. What I'm saying is that even though he wasn't physical there because he was fighting cancer, but he was there in spirit throughout the season.Or, he remained on this Earth until ESPN finally got an NFL playoff game. Mission accomplished.

So no one understood what I was saying? It wasn't out of disrespect. Re-read both comments.
It was a bad call and it got corrected.Well that is not what happened. AT. ALL. LOL.
The original call was pass interference, called by the back judge. After the call was announced, the head linesman countered that it was face guarding and not a penalty. I have never, in my entire life, seen a pass interference overturned for face guarding. It's one thing if a ref determines during the play that it was face guarding and not pass interference. To overturn it, especially after it was announced to the crowd, is unbelievable.
Just came back in to scoop up the magic I dropped when it was 14-0.
Just came in to drop the magic touch on Dallas.
Now go get'em Cowboys.
Didn't you make a bet for one of the recent Pats SB losses that if they'd lose, you'd never watch football again? AND shouldn't your bias as a 'Boys fan be acknowledged in this?i'm a fan of the sport before the team. some individuals are the opposite. but hey, if you feel that by your team losing is going to dictate significant future plans then so be it.I only see you show up every time the playoffs are on.
You ain't really 'bout that life.

That sort of contradicts your "sport above the team" schtick and ragging on dudes for how they take L's.
Eh, you have a point.it's times like this where individuals completely disregard critical/rational thinking. i guess we can also blame the refs for allowing the lions to blow the 14 point lead
Eh, you have a point.
But you do realize that the Lions were moving down the field pretty well when the ridiculous DPI/Dez all on the field incident happened, right? You can't see how that situation impacted the final score? The call stands like it should have and Detroit potentially scores a TD and the PAT. Lions win and blowing a 14-0 lead wouldn't even be in the realm of discussion right now.
That call reversal didn't singlehandedly lose the game for them. But it was a HUGE factor, given the time left in the game and field position that Detroit had at the time of the picked up flag. Not all penalties (or reversals) are created equal in terms of impact, but I thought that was just common sense.

Good job by the refs as far as I'm concerned
you're right it had a significant impact, however lions still had a chance to win the game. the game should have been over when #90 scooped up the ball but then fumbled giving the lions another shot.
And that's the point. The call stands, they score and they may not even HAVE to come back from behind, right? This isn't that hard to follow.Eh, you have a point.
