Following up on @Elpablo21's last post...
Yikes. Someone said this was so bad the NFL Network ain't 'eem show it.
I'm just gonna skip past the deflating nonsense because it's kind of obvious at this point, right? But there's a real chance Belichick could troll the hell out of the Superbowl and turn it into a legit cluster **** since they CLEARLY don't know what to do right now and aren't on the same page. No wonder the league hates his ***.
Fools are really lucky they're involved in a business that prints money no matter what they or anyone does. I'd hate to see these reactionary *** dudes handle **** that actually matters.
Clarity & streamlined rule book in the offseason though!
@jeffphowe
On ineligible receivers, Vinovich: "I made announcement: Do not cover 34." Blandino: "Which we won't do (in SB)." Vinovich: "We won't?"
@jeffphowe
Last tweet, wow.
@jeffphowe
Blandino said Pete Carroll misunderstood the message about a new ineligible received signal. It was used in the AFCCG.
@jeffphowe
Blandino said the referee does not log the PSI during the pregame ball check. They're either approved or disapproved.
@jeffphowe
So the investigation is simply taking the word of Walt Anderson that all balls were properly checked in pregame. No other way to do it.
@jeffphowe
Blandino said the Colts balls were checked at halftime, too. But again, the PSI is only approved or disapproved.
@jeffphowe
What a disaster that was for the NFL.
@jeffphowe
Biggest takeaway: How can the NFL say X-amount of balls were 1-2 PSI below the limit if they don't log the PSI upon measurement?
WUT.@jeffphowe
Blandino: "Walt gauged the footballs himself. It’s something he has done throughout his career."
WUT.@MMehtaNYDN
Dean Blandino says NFL "will review with (football co.) Wilson & the Competition Committee" the acceptable inflation range of footballs
@RapSheet
Ref Bill Vinovich said they did a test in their office and unless you squeeze the ball, he couldn’t tell the difference between 12 & 13 PSI
aka "Hey, we're trying to cover our *** here. Gives us a break."@RapSheet
There will definitely be a move this offseason for clarity for the rule book. Expect it to be streamlined and made easier to understand
