Niners have at least been close with tangible results. The Cowboys are penciled in as Super Bowl winners or contenders every year, and predictably miss the playoffs or go 13-3 with their first round by and instantly get put out to pasture by a wildcard weekend winner. You can pencil that in again.

It takes both sides to come to a deal. We have no idea what the Ravens have offered Lamar and when or what Lamar has declined and countered with. If you believe the rumors the Ravens supposedly offered him something similar to Kyler's deal but Lamar wants a Watson deal, for even more money.

Fully guaranteed deals are not the norm and thats the chip the Ravens can keep playing. But then Lamar can take the Cousins route and embrace the franchise tag. Earn $40-50M easily fully guaranteed for a couple years all while raising the floor for his AAV in the extension. I think Burrow is up next. That AFCN might mess around and have the most expensive QB group in all of football.

Not having an ageny has to be hurting Lamar a little, right?

Lamar should have held out and forced it. I commend him for "doing the right thing" and fulfilling his commitment but F that, this is pro football. You gotta go for yours.
