NFL Regular Season Thread 2019-2020: The Brazen Bahamian Battles Over Eli’s Legacy Til He’s Blue In The Face

Cam post game outfit

In two games Jameis winston has 400 yards, 2 TDs, and 3 INTs and a QBR of 26 and we are all in on the bucs?

Their offense looks ****ing trash. Its their defense that has been surprisingly good

4 TDs*

or we not counting those 'other ones'?

These are the guys that the staff let get Cam killed since Gross retired. Seems like a horrid plan at LT

Byron Bell 2014
Michael Oher 2015-2017
Matt Kalil 2018-2019
Chris Clark 2018-2019 (Texans castoff that was sitting at home, imagine bringing in a guy the TEXANS didn't want)
Darryl Williams 2019-2020 (Career bum that had one all-pro season at RT, makes great sense to put him at LT after missing the year with leg injury)

It's been pitiful man. If I wasn't living here in the state I wouldn't know and just be totally oblivious to how poorly the panthers franchise has been ran in Cam's tenure.

Take a look at his past receivers he's had to throw to since Steve Smith's release. Tedd Ginn, Jerricho Cotchery, Philly Brown, Funchess, Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon LaFell, Ed Dixon. Funny enough, he's made all of those guy look somewhat decent.

Ron Rivera doesn't know **** about offense, the FO neglected getting playmakers and a competent line, hell they literally had to drag jonathan stewart's corpse outta charlotte before thinking about giving McCaffrey the bulk of the carries.

It's easy to point the finger at Cam, and unfortunately most football and panther fans do, but dude deserves all the credit for making that offense competitive for so many years.

I guess we are forgetting that NE had a defense before Brady and that Defense got them those championships.

But hey... I’ve only had to witness it closer than most since Bledsoe died for all the Patriots sins.

Don’t let the the AB situation and Cam fashion show distract you from the fact that the Miami Dolphins are going to single handily create a NFL draft lottery.

I really can’t see it happening.

Not how the NFL is built, for people to try and implement NBA tactics into the NFL just doesn’t make sense. Contracts aren’t fully guaranteed, NFL revenue is through the roof, Players don’t run the league like the NBA... just don’t see owners going into those talks and agreeing to do it.

On the flip side don’t see Rog making that change either. We’ll see.

honestly i think it happens just because it's another easy revenue maker for the league.. plus it's an easy response for folks who get worked up about the dolphins

i mean, think about it.. they could do that the night before the combine as a sort of kick off event, do it NBA style.. that shh would pull better numbers than most NFL games

then they revamp the combine a little bit so it's more of an entertainment event than what it currently is

He was a game manager for a couple years and was able to grow into what he is now.

I definitely see it happening. In the NBA there is very little competitive balance. The same teams that make the playoffs and the same teams that in the bottom 5 in standing have little change.

However, in the NFL you can make the playoffs one year and a have top 5 pick the next, the worst record-top pick model was made because the notion teams WOULDN’T tank.

With the Dolphins clearly tanking the the next 2 seasons minimum, the league will look into it. Also, owner of fringe playoff teams like the Cowboys, Texans, Ravens, entire NFC South, benefit from a draft lottery because it allows to have a chance to be competitive AND if you miss the playoffs, you have an SLIGHT chance to add a higher draft pick to get better than what place your slotted at.

With the combine I turn it into a competition.

Fastest 40
Most completions
Most catches
Most bench press reps
I’d add squats and see who squats the most times
Fastest cone drills, etc

It’s beyond meaningless but all win a small trophy/money or something equivalent. Makes it entertaining to see who wants to compete and beat out the competition.

man.. dudes could easily have paid and sponsored competitions for all the events

i mean people tune in to watch the combine as is.. then you factor in if you add better production value to it.. i mean america ninja warrior seemingly keeps growing

seems too easy to just better produce what is already done.. i mean they already did it with the draft.. i assume it's inevitable
