It's been pitiful man. If I wasn't living here in the state I wouldn't know and just be totally oblivious to how poorly the panthers franchise has been ran in Cam's tenure.
Take a look at his past receivers he's had to throw to since Steve Smith's release. Tedd Ginn, Jerricho Cotchery, Philly Brown, Funchess, Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon LaFell, Ed Dixon. Funny enough, he's made all of those guy look somewhat decent.
Ron Rivera doesn't know **** about offense, the FO neglected getting playmakers and a competent line, hell they literally had to drag jonathan stewart's corpse outta charlotte before thinking about giving McCaffrey the bulk of the carries.
It's easy to point the finger at Cam, and unfortunately most football and panther fans do, but dude deserves all the credit for making that offense competitive for so many years.
Its pure comedy when people legit say or think Cams had weapons and good olines. When people use that stance then you know its time to stop talking to them about the panthers. ****, he's single handily revitalized Ginn's career on two separate occasions.
Best thing from the FO perspective that happened in Cams tenure was the masterful job Dave Gettleman did with the cap. He's been getting heat for his personnel decisions in NY but he got us out of cap hell(main reason the team could never build when cam was on his rookie deal) Thanks Marty
Ron's always had a coaching ceiling but those COTY awards always seemed to save his job at the perfect time, wont have that luxury now. He's also too loyal to a fault and has a history of having the better player on the bench because he loves older vets. If it wasn't for Bruce Irvin hamstring injury Brian Burns would be getting 6 snaps a game
And you already know why some have been licking their chops to point the finger at him since the day he was drafted. Cam was the perfect QB for a city like Charlotte, not for the good ole boys of the carolinas
