Nike 30th Anniversary “Just Do It” Campaign.

How do these inbreds and fake black people even find Niketalk? I only found Niketalk years ago because I was into that hypebeast "scene", and that "scene" hardly had any white people. The white people that were part of that scene were not like these clowns at all and were generally good people that got along with minorities. Maybe things have changed a lot in the past decade, or maybe those dudes just put up a front in real life and then expose their true feelings online. Most likely it's the latter :smh:

From my perspective, it's the loudest people that are the most obnoxious. The vast majority of us all get along. For the people looking for a reason to protest, there's always something to rustle their jimmies.

True, but he had like 100 posts in 6 yrs, and it looked like he was in the jersey thread before this all went down. I know I've seen a lot of racist white dudes in sports jerseys in my years on this earth, lol.
haha that's fair. I was born and raised in Alabama. I've seen them in every type of clothing you can imagine.

Hey dblplay1212 dblplay1212 I really appreciate the dialogue, and can see where people are coming on with certain issues. Like I said I enjoy hearing others sides, and trying to understand the way they think. I feel like if everyone can approach issues like that we can get somewhere actually. However I got to ask, when someone disagrees with the left or with ideals that they don't agree with, how is it okay to go out and try to censor them? In this thread alone, dudes are being banned and called racist without actually saying something racist or just disagreeing. Don't you think that by calling everyone racist, that it can diminish and cause people to overlook who the real racist are.

Even when I brought up points that didn't go along with others in here, I was referred to as unkle tom, cooon, and uncle ruckus. People even questioned if i was truly black because I thought the way I do. One users on here even said all blacks should have a hive mentality and all agree on how race relations are in USA. Should we not try to and discourage this type of fascist actions? Name calling and pettiness ain't going to get us nowhere.

Lastly, when I see people who disagree get banned, and then dudes are on here just saying out right **** trump, I feel like there's a double standard going on. Like the policies he's for or against, the guy is our President, simple as that. Not saying you can't disagree with what he does, but he should get more respect, and everyone should hope he does whats best for the country. No other president has gotten more slack in the history of the US. What you guys think?

Take away that title, his words and actions warrant respect? People probably have disagreed with presidents since George Washington. The lack of respect of Trump stems more from how he carries himself then simple policies disagreement.

Yea I won't disagree with you on that, the way he carries himself is just terrible. I like certain things he does, and dislike certain things he does. Just like any member of the military regardless of what they may have had to due on tour deserves respect, i feel like the President of the US regardless of who it is also deserves respect. I guess I'm saying that title alone should deserve it, thats all.

Come on man, the guy that was banned was banned bc he literally said he was sad that Nike was putting women in leadership and then they were running this campaign. That's just straight up hate man. I'm perfectly fine with hate speech being censored.

I don't care who you are... If you aren't respectful to others, and carry yourself in an abhorrent manner, while using fear mongering hate speech, and childish behavior.....I dont respect you. President, military vet, Doctor, the Pope, whoever.

Respect is earned. After all ....the "President" is just a title. (Even less of one when you look at Trump.)

Didn't see that, and I don't tolerate that either. Just seen where someone called him a racist, which wasn't warranted, from what he said. If you agree with me though that name calling is petty and a quick way to get nowhere in a discussion, shouldn't you disavow it?

Ehh thats a slippery slope, thats what makes the US great is free speech. No matter how ridiculous something someone might say, they should be allowed to say it. I'd rather it be out in the open then behind closed doors. Everyone likes to scream how people are fascist nowadays, but censoring speech, no matter what it is, is one of the steps toward a fascist regime. Hate speech is free speech, and should be protected.

Dude def acts like a child with those twitter rants lol. The one thing I don't see is hate speech though, what do you feel is hate speech from the president?

And he's allowed to say it, just not here. This isn't a state sponsored platform. The guys that run NT can set whatever rules they want. Same with any employer, office, etc.

I see, don't agree with dudes remarks. Yep you right about that, beauty of the US is private organizations can set their own rules, and if you don't like it than you can leave.

He incites violence against people who stand up to him or protest. Isn't that a form of hate speech ?

Respect is earned, not given.

The propensity of people on the right of the political spectrum to tolerate ideologies that advocate the implementation of an unequal society (I am talking about inequality of rights, aka a stratified society) is not worthy of respect considering that what they want goes directly against the ideals this country was founded on (ideals that the founding fathers themselves failed to uphold for certain members of this society).

There are a lot of rights that are enjoyed by all of us today that simply were not included in the original constitution. Many of the amendments that are not in the bill of rights (the first 10 amendments) were included in the constitution to protect American minorities. For example, a constitutional amendment gave descendants of slaves (and anyone else born here) birthright citizenship.

Read about the paradox of tolerance to understand why we shouldn't tolerate hate speech (that the right hides under the banner of "free" speech to advance an agenda that is detrimental to those they deem inferior).

The guy can't be responsible for his followers actions. He's come out publicly numerous of times and has said he doesn't like or encourage violence. He isn't afraid to stand up to people who oppose him, and I can sort of see where people could interpret it as violent speech.

Free speech is tricky I don't like what white supremacist and racist have to say but I still think they should have the ability to say it. I just don't want to go down that slope, and eventually theres a point where the dictate what we can and cannot say. Ill check out the paradox of tolerance,, been meaning to find something to read.

So Hitler wasn't responsible for Nazis?

Trump literally said both sides were bad when people confronted white supremacists.

You have the freedom to say anything you want. You just have to deal to the repercussions of your words when they are hateful and/or ignorant.
