I do quite a bit of hiking, but haven't tried these, usually stick to my Merrells. Might have to try em out if I can find a good deal.

The OP ones are on ebay for around $90...

The flint grey/orange ones are nice... VERY tempted.

Nike Sportswear is much appreciated recently...I feel like theyve put out some nice, quality product recently in the apparel sector

Correct on everything here, except the timing is a decade off... the original Tallac didn't drop until fall 2003.

And yes, the original Tallac had Gore-Tex, but this "Lite" version does not. That's the only substantive difference, though.
