Correct on everything here, except the timing is a decade off... the original Tallac didn't drop until fall 2003.

And yes, the original Tallac had Gore-Tex, but this "Lite" version does not. That's the only substantive difference, though.

I could have sworn I saw them earlier than that, but oh well I guess I was mistaken...
