Nike Air Flight Lite II retro looks to be coming

you're right...but the do kinda look more streamlined to me...I'm not to picky I suppose.

Agreed. The collar shape and swoosh length aren't even close though....heh. Still looks nice. I can't recall back in the OG days....I'm old ;-)...wasn't there an all black leather or nubuck version?

There were 2 OG black colorways, both durabuck. First pair that released was Black/Neo Teal/Plum around Christmas. They were followed in the spring by the Pippen playoff pair that was black with a white swoosh and cardinal red accents.

Only one I saw was the all black pippens with the white F in the wild. I've seen NBA plays rock an all black with white colorway on the Highs. Never seen a black leather one.

Agreed...these stubby swooshes just kill me. If you're going to screw up a part of the shoe, you'd figure Nike would at least get that part right. No silver, no buy

That colorway is coming from the looks of things - if you scroll through the photos on the Nike app in the US, the one with the model wearing them has this color, even though it’s not for sale yet.

Well DAMN!!! They got the Aqua colorway 100% on point!!! I still need the Knicks, White/Blacks and White/Red's too. It's a shame that ****ed up the Olympic's. Especially after seeing how ON POINT that "Aqua" colorway is.

Yeah there's pics of the aquas that someone posted a couple of months ago on here. They are definitely on the way.

Always liked these two back in the day. Have the flight highs ever retroed? I know the OG '89s did, but wasn't into buying retros at that time, and the shape/quality wasn't very good from what I recall.

I remember a classmate on our basketball team had these Flight Highs back in the day and would only wear them on court, and carry them around taking super good care of them. We were wearing Jordan 4s and Flight '89s at that time. I believe they came out the same year (they obviously share the same mid/outsole as the 4s). I think that same year I had the Trainer TWs first, and then the WC4s. It must have been that transition season between '88 and '89 models.

Are there specific threads for each of these?

Some discussion here:
and here:

I'm with you on those highs. Junior High memories for me, I'd pay retail on release day for them.

Quality was good on the 89 flights that came out in 1999-2000.

Idk how faithful they were to the OGs, I've never had an OG in hand. But there was an IG post by Scollard, he claims they're close.

Flight 89 Highs have never retroed, and as I've mentioned in various posts, as much as I love them (one of the best sneakers ever IMO!), I hope Nike DOESN'T retro them.

Whenever I see pics of the 89 Highs I get nostalgic and brought back to that era of drooling over them. I never had them but I KNOW FOR A FACT Nike would butcher a retro of them. :smh:

I say keep them in the vault and how they should be remembered.

I hear you & I'm conflicted too. Same...I lusted after these at that time but had the TWs and WC4s instead. If they can do them decently though, I'd probably rather have them than not. They're kind of like the Command Forces though in terms of being so high and bulky that they're not that wearable or desirable by most, so Nike would probably cheap out on materials and any attention to shape. Hmm....

We on the same page.

And I had the OG Flight 89 mids at that time. White/Black colorway. The Highs were elite comparatively and I believe more expensive at the time so my Mom wouldn't get them. I was happy with my mids though for sure.

I agree about the height not being desirable if retroed. They'd probably flop mass-sales-wise.
