Since i got the chicagos on the restock raffle im lean towards passing. And i use to love carolina colorways back in the day. Not so much now.

I am with you. Wanted them for quite a while but.....just wouldn't know what to do with the color way. I think these will be easy to cop as they are such a team specific color with no real Jordan history.

What about the fact that he played for the University of North Carolina?

Lol this man checked a store that isn't supposed to get them.

This isn't unheard of.  I can think of a few stores in Vegas (HoH Summerlin, HoH Miracle Mile, FTL BLVD Mall, FA Galleria) that didn't show up on their respective launch locator at times, but when you give them a call they say they're giving out raffle tickets.

Can't hurt to cover all bases and ask.

That's actually the reason I AM getting them. I don't like powder blu and these being more of a sky blue convinced me to get them. I know the originals were this color, and not the "true" unc blue.

I wouldn't be surprised if back then  UNC would not allow their color to be used by Nike, so they had to use a different shade.

if i recall---UNC's colors 10-30 years ago were more in tone with the powder blue used in this variation of the Jordan 1.. Hence why the retro is also not the same tone of blue as the other variations of the 1 that have preceded it.. the patent leathers "kinda" were this blue but nowhere near as vibrant...

over the years the blue has become lighter at least on certain forms of apparel..

and echoing what another poster has said--UNC colorways of any Jordan never sell well.. except if you count when melo wore blk/blue and white/blue 12s and they retroed lol

Wore mine all day today - definitely much more comfortable than the B-List 1s I've owned (Carmines, Highlight Reels, etc.). The softness of both the collar leather and the sockliner make them really nice to wear. Now I know why everyone oved their Chi's so much this summer. Still think the 1.5's Jordan 2 footbed is more comfortable, but knowing these should last forever makes up for it.
