I had my OG box and hang tag forever, until I guess I finally tossed it at some point. Zero doubt it was the fatter hang tag with my pair.

I'm glad I passed up on the 2012's. Didn't like plastic leather they used on them. But I gotta say my WC 2012's are tanks and no paint cracking. Same with militaries. Both are holding up well. But Black cements from 2012 are a different story, those are straight jacked.

Man, the tag wasn’t in there but I’m sure I have it somewhere in the house. I even kept my OG AJ 1 tags. I saved all that stuff. I took a few pics of the OG box. I forgot how narrow these OG boxes were at the time. I’m so used to these bigger boxes they use now.

wasn't blown away when I opened the box, but the red is nice shade. QC on my pair was decent compared to others. I think the recent AMIII and chlorophyll trainer have raised the bar as far as retro quality for me.

Hell man that shape isn't super higher but it's enough to make a difference and the actual shape of the heel looks miles better and the wing is still higher. Man I grabbed mine from Ebay I'm really hoping the guy gets them soon so I can get them and wear them lol. You have a really nice shaped pair imo.Got my pair in

So these don’t match the black Jordan 4 retro. It’s missing the double stitch that runs under the wing and back to the Nike logo.

The ogs varied. Some looked more similar to those black cements but some had the cleaner stitching.
Im with you though. There’s way more important details that they need to get right (and didn’t this round).

The two biggest problems are the toe shape and the overall height of the shoe. The collar is still way too short and the heel tab is placed significantly lower than it should.

I see you laced yours, like MJ wore em. That doesn't help them though. This pair looks bad. Really, REALLY BAD. The ankle collars are SO low, that they really do look like low tops. Especially, how far it is from the top of the pull tab, on the left shoe. You can see what I mean, in the first pic.
It seems like this release is gonna be just as inconsistent, as last year's Black Cement release. So far, I've seen pairs with slightly higher ankle collars, but have steel toe boot like toe boxes. Then, there's some pairs where the collars/wings are super low, just like the 2012's. I'm praying I get a pair with the higher cut. I've also noticed that the tabs themselves are too small, causing the Nike Air logos to be smushed in. This has been a problem since 2016, though.

It was the fatter tag, I still have mine from my fire red 4s, they were my first Jordans ever so I cherished everything about them when I got them. Still have them too.

Same here totally agree man some of them look nice like the good BC4 pairs did but some of them are just like you said just like the 2012 shape. Sucks tho man! The homie on Instagram Scollar23 shared some of his home videos with me from the 90s of his BC4s and the height was mind blowing compared to these. A lot pics of these (2019 bc4) may look similar to a pic of the OGs but when you see the OGs on someone's foot its night and day difference with the height!

We MUST demand better, NikeTalk. The shape, height, just everything is a insult, to the original. In the BIGGEST way possible.

A bit salty I missed out on these as I still have yet to own an OG colorway 4, but 4s aren't as big on my radar as some of the other silhouettes right now. When they eventually fix these and give them a new beginnings treatment in terms of detail (height, tab placement, etc), I'll be all over em for sure. For those that did get these I'm happy for you all, and for those waiting for the actual launch, I'm certain you all will get your pair(s) without any trouble.
