They don't...simplest answer. But that doesn't mean the vapormax isn't a great shoe. I do enjoy wearing mine ( after the break in time) they just do not compare to UB

Two different feeling shoes, but the end result of comfort is the same. Ultraboost is more squishy and Vapormax is more firm and responsive
