Bro it's a blessing and a curse to be a 13... Ball shoes 13 always expensive AF but the trade off is it's cheaper for stuff like some yeezys and aj1s. I don't think 13-14 is gonna hit below 400 which is a damn shame.
 
So guess what happened.

Realized I still had a 2010 grinch bid on stockX that somehow got accepted (waaaaaay less than asking price but more than protro price). I said for sure this is a seller error and it’ll get cancelled once it gets there and authenticators see it’s the 2020 model.

The other day I get an email saying they passed authentication. Was lowkey happy because I got the OG pair for much less than going rate, even with the protro release now over with.

I unboxed them tonight and found that they sent me the protros lmaoooooo..

So I immediately emailed StockX customer service livid, complaining about how crappy their inspection process must be to somehow let a protro get sold for OG price. Good for the seller though for the finesse on StockX but I will be sending these back for a refund seeing as I already have a protro on the way from them also (whiffed on release day as expected) and the price I paid for what should have been 2010s was higher than protros are going for.

it’s just annoying buying in secondary market. I hate paying resale as is, but to now have to deal with this stupidity is just unneeded. Wish I had luck on SNKRS.

Anyway, despite the headache I at least have a protro In hand for now and they are GORGEOUS. They are tight as hell on though! Must be the flywire. I ordered the same size I get in vapormax, yeezy 350V2, ultra boost, kobe 8, kobe 9 elite lows, for reference. This is half a size up from what I typically wear in Jordans (4, 5, 6, 11 etc)
 
man.. it's so easy for nike to fix the bot problem but they don't give a crap.

all they gotta do is before the order is completed send a code to your phone which you gotta enter on the NDC/SNKRS to confirm you're not a bot. would eliminate bots since no one has 100's of phone numbers they're monitoring for codes.

And also because it’s Xmas and it’s been one day. People still hyped, panicked and with Xmas money to burn. Meanwhile I’m sitting here monitoring the price situation before I decide to buy, feeling like Bodhi in the last scene of Point Break:
Everyone: “50 Year Storm and it’s totally closed out!”
Me: “Just waiting for my set.”

Their gonna go down, it’s gotta be that way. Great movie. I’m honestly not even watching prices though. Idk if it’ll ever go under $400. I’m fully prepared to move on.

I have $400 in cash that any other year would’ve been given to me as Nike gift cards. I asked for the cash for this specific release instead of the cards my family usually gets me. I could buy now and not even have to spend the retail price out of my own pocket. I’m just waiting a bit because there’s no reason to spend more on them than is actually gonna be necessary. I can wait a week or three for prices to settle on whatever they settle on.
Meanwhile, it’s hilarious to watch in real time as people’s psyches are exposed. Prices literally jumped $50 because the Lakers are on TV with guys wearing the shoes :lol:

What sz? There was a guy on offer up and that was using the 2010 OG as his Protro pricing base and told me he sold them for 1K. I asked him to show me the receipt as I called him out on it. He has yet to show the receipt.
 
If Bruce Lees are around $250, I can see these Grinches falling and staying around $350 until pairs start drying up. Then it'll slowly start rising again. Nowhere near OG levels though. Can't just assume all people getting pairs in from SNKRS are looking to resell. Most likely more people who bought for personals than to resell.
