I’m sure they could have given him a wear test sample of the 19, maybe even the closely finished product. Shoes are designed 18-36 months in advance and SJ2 was filmed in the summer of 2019 i think

Even a wear test wouldn't have most likely been the correct colorway they'd want to promote for the movie. Most wear tests we've seen Lebron in have been primarily black if I recollect. They woulda had to superimpose regardless I guess, but it's a fair point he may have had something close.

Finally had a chance to check these out.

These definitely don’t feel as heavy on foot as they are, but they definitely also remind me of a boot.

And they’re loud, first time in a while I’ve said how tf am I going to wear these(casual not for ball)

As far as sizing, first impression was I ordered the right size length-wise but slightly snug(didn’t try to widen them, I just threw them on), happy I went with my recent Lebron size(9.5), in comparis on I wear a 10 in older lebrons(OG & Retro 8 V1 size 10.5…OG 9s size 11 lol)
