Yeah he may have lost his juice. Not every shoe needs to be a banger, but I haven't bought a new shoe (non retro) of his since the 19

I'm not sure if it's been posted yet but finishline has the crown Jewel for $145. Has anyone heard anything about a bred colorway or white black red? I had to get this tee and I'd like to match it up. Might just go for an og bred

That price is really good, especially with the APP15 coupon added on top.

KD 17, JA 2, Tatum 2, Luka sig, LeBron 22, Book 1, Freak sig are all weak designs. I can’t think of another year where the Nike Basketball lineup was this weak
Average performance has never been this good in hoop shoes either across the board

Empty gym today, perfect situation to break a new pair of shoes in w/ an individual workout.

Initial thoughts… shoe feels like a combination of the 20 heel cushion combined with the 21 upper but with a more plush lining (think NXXT AMPD) and more midfoot support. Also it does feel a little more roomy in the toebox than previous models. Can kinda notice the extra weight but it’s not a huge difference imo. Traction bites pretty good, I think they must have mopped this La Fitness court recently… moderate dust, quick wipe no issues today.

If anyone has any questions let me know but just feels like an evolution of the line towards Bron needing a little more support as he’s getting older.

I think they look much better with the pink laces, they're already loud enough without contrasting laces. That is, of course, just my opinion and you do what you like. I can't wait to grab a pair but I've decided to hold out to see more colorways. I'm not necessarily in love with this model so I'm likely just gonna go for one pair this go around. Thanks for the review

I'm still torn....I want a shoe to feel almost as if I'm not wearing a shoe at times.

I'm on my feet hours on end a day for work so I need support and comfort.

I'll try on a pair soon for sure.

Yea he's not it anymore, I never wanted Kenzo gone in the first place. I'll give JP his credit he did make some bangers with the 7-10, 15, 20, but I believe his ship has sailed. I would really like some fresh prospective on the 23 but that's not gonna happen. I just hope he comes correct.

I feel you man.

If I’m playing for a short period of time, like a bball league for example I don’t really need a lot of cushion/comfort… really prefer court feel in those cases. Finished a season about a month ago and played most games in the AE1 low and Kobe 4/6 Protros.

But if I’m playing pickup or gonna be standing on my feet for a long period of time I absolutely need something plush. For example Monday I played ball wearing my LBJ 21’s…

No way I would’ve made it that long in a low profile shoe 😂 My rotation reflects both sides of the coin and I wear whatever best fits the situation.

Back to the 22’s… gotta spend more time in them obviously but I don’t think know if I’d call them average. That’s something that applies to kicks like the Ja, GT Cut Academy, Greek Freek’s, etc. Decent fit, mediocre cushion, solid traction. These have very good cushion but obviously aren’t for everyone… they’ve trended back towards being more aimed at bigger players I think.

Quite the over exaggeration there. Low hoop shoes has been the trend and the direction here for a good minute.

I prefer lows but that’s just my preference.

If there are any changes I’d like to see them shave off some of weight and go back to more solid outsoles.

I know, obviously joking. But do I like the low trend? Absolutely not. Design suffers. I'm almost 40, I don't care about 4 oz. lighter. I'm not directing this at you g-time, but I can't make sense of how people complain about the way all these new sig shoes look aesthetically yet keep pushing for lows. If they could make "cool" shoes like we got in the 90s in this low cut format, I'm all for it. As I said though, I'm of the opinion that the lower cut is forcing the look of the shoe in to a box. I'll be overjoyed too when we can get away from slapping a giant swoosh on everything.
