The BHM’s still remain peoples least favorite. I remember standing in line for the Big 3 packs, (BHM, Christmas, All-Star, Easter), and for this particular release dudes only bought the Lebron 9 because that was all that was left out of (KD, Kobe, Lebron). KD 4-6 always sold out first because of the price point, Kobe’s 7-9 would get ate up second. Lebron 9-11 would sellout last. This was minus the paper raffle system which started on the KD6’s, Kobe9’s, and Lebron11’s. As for the line-ups, not a reseller in sight at the time; mostly collectors. Whoever was at the front of the line had action at whichever signature shoe they wanted out of the 3. If you wanted one of the other pairs after purchasing, back to the end of the line you go and wait to see what’s left. This was at HOH’s by the way. A pretty cool run of releases.

BHMs were underrated but the 9s had too many stand out colorways better than them
True, that. Plus the Elites, which I forgot to throw in there, makes people forget about them even more. My collection always felt incomplete without having the Big Bang’s and those South Beach Elites. The white ones are some of the worst aging deadstock sneakers I’ve ever “witnessed”. Those Kevlar laces and the Pro Combat Inner Sleeves started absorbing the metallic gold paint and the fluorescent orange paint from the box. A few more of these retro 9’s will seal the deal for me, then I’m done with them.
