NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

I had turbo 2s ordered my regular 12.5. They fit a little big so exchanged for a 12. Didn’t really like them either so sent them back. I love zoom air but they didn’t feel right for some reason Had the 7s but sent them back since they were really clunky for me…… I’m probably an outlier. I really liked the 5s and flyknit 3s and dax2s a lot more I don’t do CrossFit but lift burppees agility training etc

I like them! The silhouette looks sleeker.. looks interested to see the medial side as I think there has been more developments on the upper there.

I will say I saw a black/gold color way that looked pretty good. Didn’t grab a pic of it unfortunately but I’ll see if I can go back

Upper looks nice. If that’s a flyknit/weave and it’s nice and flexible that’s a win. I agree though the rope guard is killing it for me being that high

maybe a bit of tech info? these obviously have the same tech as the 7&8. the midsole looks revamped

- made of durable/breathable mesh
- updated dual density foam
- extended rubber wrap for rope climbs

No specifics on it right now.

Thanks for the early pics. Kind of an odd choice by Nike to not raise the Swoosh higher so its not obscured by the very high rope guard. I really am wondering how much more Nike can do to improve the Metcon; they branched out with the React Turbos, SF's, and Frees so that's good, but the actual OG model? There is only so much you can do at this point.

Yeah I guess that’s why we don’t get a completely new model each iteration and more a redesign

if those are really the 9s they look like a take down model compared to 7s and 8s. glad my 7s are still going strong.
