to me the 7s look way better than the 8sand feel the best to me since the 2s. hated the midfoot lockdown on 6s.

metcon 6 was terrible. Feel like Boots, glad I only bought one. 7s are great, didn’t like metcon spelled out on side of 8 . Tbh I like the nano x2 a lot too

I know it’s the metcon page but has anyone tried r.a.d shoes. They have a black and red pair that’s calling my name but I’ve never seen them in person

if those are really the 9s they look like a take down model compared to 7s and 8s. glad my 7s are still going strong.

So got the Fraser and AMP 8's in today. Decided to take a group shot of the Frasers as well. It's cool that Nike gave him custom boxes too. I showed a pic of the AMP pair because Nike decided to just use the shoebox as the box to hold the shoes as well as the shipping box. So my address label is slapped on that they I use to store shoes. Not exactly a big deal, but I definitely don't like the change. Hopefully that is not the norm going forward.

From the scorpion thread it sounds like this is their new trend: using the shoe boxes as shipping boxes.

I’m 100% against this idea. I order too many pairs & don’t like the idea of people shipping pairs to see my specific size and/or item, & especially don’t like this if I’m not home & the box is just there at the door for anyone to see if they want.

There’s ways to work around it & minimize some of the problems…but things like a wet shoe box from rainy days for example can’t be fixed…& for a company that doesn’t NEED to do this it’s crazy.

^, 100%. People can now know exactly what is in the box, the damn label with the shoe name is outside for anyone to read. It's insane that Nike continues to make baffling decisions with shipping us our product. First slapping a gigantic Swoosh on the boxes, now this using the shoe box as a shipping box as well. Truly idiotic.

The 8's are very comfortable, will try them out for some light cardio and weight lifting today. The abundance of cool colorways sure is nice too.

that's crazy you like the color ways cuz that was one of my biggest issue with the 8s. I finally got some froning x1 and some x3 today... can't wait to train in them

I like the AMP, Snail, blue/citron, photon dust/black, mint foam/volt, and the Dusk to Dawn pair. But definitely CW's are always a toss up between people.

But bear in mind the 8 is just over it’s life span.. there are plenty more colour ways enroute that may change your mind.

Yea I’ve definitely noticed Nike has a trend of dropping some of what they feel are their better & more fun/risky/outgoing colorways at the end of their model lifecycle. So now we’re seeing better colors of the 8s to keep excitement of this model going as they get ready to sell the 9s with improvements & let the customer prioritize which they prefer.

With that said I’ve definitely made a turn on some of the 8s now that some better colors are coming out. I might replace one of my 5s this year with a pair of 8s if I find a good enough deal…it’s on the table at least…and I didn’t think I’d come close to this point when I first saw the 8s last year.

Dusk to Dawns and Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 came in. The drop-in midsole for the Turbo is great, full length React with a forefoot Zoom Air unit right underneath. Definitely will be doing speed training and plyometrics with those. Have to wear a higher cut sock in em though; the tongue is paper thin.

There is nothing out there online.. only hope is if someone has images from the preproduction orders that accounts get.
Its too early for the official images to be backdoored of NDC

Since we don't have a dedicated training thread, I thought I would post these here. Sort of a successor to the Lunar TR1, these are the Zoom TR1. Super comfy with the full length Zoom, great traction on turf surfaces, but not really a shoe you would use to weight lift. Also, the synthetic suede is probably gonna get absolutely shredded. But for $58, cannot beat that price with code HEART on NDC till tomorrow.

Saw the all-red Metcon 9 on sale +25% off through today or tomorrow. I have a decent conditioned Metcon 5 or 6 still going strong. Worth the upgrade for $70ish?

I hear they are wide (not a bad thing) and heavy... so I have steered clear. I would recommend RAD or Strike movemet.
