Muscle Maxes?
My only hesitation in retro's is that Nike seems to be changing shoes, making it not a retro, just looks like it. A lot of the retro's I've tried on or have seen reviewed no longer feature full length or heel and forefoot air. They all just have heel air. I'm talking about the foamposites, zoom flight 96 and 98 thus far. The change in materials bothers me as well.
Having owned or tried on in store a large portion of what has been retro'ed, it is disappointing when it looks like my favorite shoes, but does not feel that way.
I'd like to see the Jordan 16 and 17's retroed.
Now that Nike owns Converse, I'd like to see the KJ's and LJ's retro'ed, not just the aero jams. And actually have the React tech in them and React label on them. The KJ's were great with the heel and forefoot react.
I noticed the other day at footlocker they have the new "Chuck II" out. Looks like the original but with a drop in Lunar insole. IMO, its stupid. People who buy Chucks are people who buy Chuck's. They like the simplicity and the timeless look. If they want something with modern featires, they'll buy a modern shoe.Absolutely. I think that the non-exact retros really dissuade older heads from purchasing. Things like changing the Air component, or going with (what feel like) cheaper materials, whilst still allowing the inflation argument to "justify" higher prices is a killer for me. For example, I have been REALLY hoping for a Zoom Spiridon retro for quite a while, and apparently it's coming this year, but the name is listed as "Nike Zoom Spiridon 16". Will we get that double-stacked, full-length Zoom Air? I'm not holding my breath.
Co-sign on some of the suggestions above. That mid- to late-90s era had some golden shoes that we've never seen retros of. And those Cons are things I would love to see (with the React). Heck, I'd love to see some of the Cons ERX shoes from the early '90s. Big tongues and chunky builds. But I doubt we'll EVER see that! It's Chucks & Weapons as far as the eye can see...
YES, ubiquitous was so awesome! the black/green colorway is the only one i want thoughThe Muscle Maxs are trainers not BBall, but I would concur that they do need a proper retro along with the Air Max Ubiquitous.
right?! that was a huge slap in the face BUT the only thing keeping my hopes up is that they did the same with the diamond fury and then finally released them true to OG similarityI need the shake ndestrukt to retro not that BS they released a few years back
yeah but they arent wearable, ive tried multiple times and regardless of condition or storage conditions they just give up. i had a pair of mine fall off completely while at the mall on their first wear lol walked back to my car carrying what was left for the burialI View media item 1970399
use to want to see these but now that I found them I don't want to see them drop again LOL
wow, awesome and im super jealous cuz ive bought 4 pairs and they all crumbled badly so ive given up until they get a proper retro and when they do i might get most of the colorways lolI wore them this past Sunday and they're just fine. Nothing at all. Its not really a shoe I care to wear anyways more of a piece for the collection. Its just way to bulky for my style of dressing today.
I'll fight werdum for these joints
