early reservation pair just arrived from Nike. I was able to un-do the zip tie with no struggle suprisingly

People can do whatever they want with their pairs, but my opinion is: Virgil designed it with a zip tie, and wears them with the zip tie. It’s a big part of the design. It’s no different than someone not liking and removing the quotes, or the Nike Beaverton writing.

He has been wearing his pairs just as often without that ugly zip tie too. It’s all personal preference but I think it looks so silly to walk around in the shoes with the zip tie on. Looks like you would be wearing a jacket with the price tag still on.

The OG was my favorite out of the pack.
