My personal grail is a Kobe sneaker, and it's all black with some gold details.

It is an autographed Kobe XI FTB. Given the current circumstances, it's probably not likely I'll ever be able to own it because: 1) It's going to cost a grip, and 2) I gotta find somebody who actually owns a pair of those and are willing to part ways with it now.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I really wish I would've just pulled the trigger and paid resale for the Kobe XI FTB and then sent it in to Panini to have it autographed. Now I'll never have that chance. That's a true grail - that term is too loosely thrown around nowadays.

Thats the thing it all comes down to personal taste of whats the greatest. To me the Breds have always reigned over the Concords both in aesthetics and the work done in them.
Ask any true Laker fan and theyll tell you our one and ONLY rival is the Cs, I say that respectfully as well. 16th was earned in those shoes, also the last chip Kobe was apart of was earned in those shoes.
Meanwhile sure MJ came back...
but he also got picked and escorted out of the playoffs for jumping in far too late in a season after an almost year long retirement. Plastic and gold? Na. Timeless.
The Concords are great (over hyped) but they are no Big Stage. Further more the Vs age with grace where as if your not maintaining and maintaining correctly have fun with your beige betty lemonade sole Concords. Just an opinion from someone who lived to witness both accomplishments.

Amnesty THAT!! game and Achilles free throws are defining moment shoes, absolutely beautiful though ive got a strong bias for the 8s as theyre my favorite all around Kobe lol.

Yes, infact theyre already starting to get back down however do expect the more iconic pairs (Big Stages, PEs, Mamba day Ids etc.) to remain rather high at least until retroed.

5's are still my favorite in terms of fit and colors. 8's are not far behind, I had a few and wish I had some more. Hope when those get protro, the sulfurs don't get forgotten

5's were always my favorite kobe, and the first kobes i balled in. I balled in them from 2010 until I wore down all of my pairs in like 2016. Played in every kobe since. Most were OK. Liked the 6's, like the 4 protros now that I have played in them too, but the 5's are still the best to me. Everything else was meh.

I loved the Beethoven IX lows. Those were my go to hooping shoes and beat them into the ground. Would love another pair of those, or just the lows. Never tried the highs but wanted to.

I don’t think I will size up out of fear that they will be too long. I think the iridescent material on the Chaos protro might have made them feel tighter but we’ll see. Unfortunately the Lakers cw will sell out instantly so trying on another size won’t be an option. Kobe’s have always run true to size for me so I’m sticking with it.
