Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite 2017

Damn that Notre deal for the VFNs is tempting AF; however, I’ll wait this one out in hopes of seeing them at the outlets. I only remember seeing maybe three VF1s (in my size) and two VF2s at the clearance store since their launch... the likelihood of these hitting the outlets seems more probable because of the available stock at a WIDE variety of shops. Heck, even shops like Notre have them.

First run in the VFN in the books - 13.5 km. Maybe I'm in the honeymoon phase but those were so much fun to run in. I noticed the increased forefoot cushioning, as well as better heel stability compared to the Flyknit 4%s.

I want to run in these all of the time

As I was adding my first run in the VFN on NRC

What do you guys use for non speed runs?

I got my pair in yesterday. Going to give them a twirl later. I’d like something to compliment them for jogs, slower runs.

I’m guessing it’s the shoe with dual zoom air units in the forefoot

So a couple hours after my first run in the VFN, I have a sore spot on the top of my foot (first metatarsal). I didn't notice any discomfort at all during the run, but I put on the shoes again to see what was going on and the spot is exactly where one of the eyelets is located. Maybe I just had them too tight and it was digging in? I'm not sure.

Anyone else get this? It'd be a shame if these shoes don't work for me, because they're so dang fun to run in

I'm thinking of getting into marathon running just to justify buying these shoes.

i kinda want a pair just to wear casually

did anybody buy the vfn's just cause they thought they looked cool? or is everybody here strictly about running?

Get a pair. Try them out for 30 days and see.

Tbh I’m not sure if they would be the greatest everyday casual shoe. Won’t really get the wow cushioning and benefits from the CF plate but then again I haven’t even got mine VFN’s in yet.
