Ok, so spring break will be here in the near future and my girlfriend is almost making me take a cruise with her to the Bahamas. The thing is, I took a cruiseto the Bahamas when I was younger with my family, but I don't really remember anything fun happening. I was like 11 when I went by the way.

So I ask you NT, is the cruise worth it nowadays? I guess the deal is that we cruise to the Bahamas and the journey takes two days...

, enjoy the city (beach) for only a day,

, and whatever else is included on the four day tour I believe...I reallydon't know how long she plans on staying..

Someone please convince me that I should go on the cruise just to enjoy myself. What were your experiences like if you've gone or know someone who hasvisited the Bahamas? Night life? Things to do?

All help is appreciated.

I've been to the Bahamas but not on a cruise....

I stayed at the Atlantis. The resort is MASSIVE and this could be a bad thing for some people but there was a ton of stuff to do.

I went on a SB cruise to the Bahamas last year and it was one of the best times I have had in my life. It could be fun if you go with your girl but in myopinion you will have more fun if you roll with your boys. Take a lot of cash because the islanders will try to get over on the tourist.

It is taking two days to get the islands, are you leaving from Norfolk, VA? If I was you I would look into driving to Miami to catch the cruise. A few reasonsyou would want to leave out of Miami is more cruise options and once your cruise is done on friday (i'm guessing it will be over on friday) you can spend aday or two enjoying Miami.

S.N. I know my reply was kind of sloppy but it is late and I should be in bed.

went to bahamas on a cruise, and it was awesome. i forgot the names of the places we reached but there were the big casinos, then across the bridge is thetown. other parts had hella nice beaches. i would def recommend it

If you were staying for more than a day, I would recommend going to Atlantis. There is a ton of stuff to do overthere.

Since your stay is brief you definitely need to hit up the Straw Market Downtown, soak in some of our rich Bahamian culture.

i've been on a few cruises and it was fun each time, but you have to be open-minded and go to the events on the boat or you will be extremely bored.

I went twice two years ago. Freeport not Nassau...First itme was a blast because of spring break crowd. and all of the homies.

Wasn't +*** fun for me either. I went in my teens with my family and outside of chilling with some island girls at the beach, nothing.

No real fun unless your girl is obsessed with konch.

This is a cruise so try to make the best of it.

Funny this thread came up cause two of my boys just came back from there, they were on a cruise..they said it was cool. The best story from the cruise was thatwhen they landed in the Bahamas, a cabbie approached them and said 'get in, I'll take you somewhere fun.' So they get in, and they ask where tofind trees. The cabbie takes them to some ghetto, cops weed, rolls it in the cab, and they proceed to cyph a blunt..in the cab.

i went on a cruise with my family back when i was 13. it was just ok. probably because i went with my family and i was 13. if you do go on the cruise make sureu sign up to do something fun once you arrive on the island like scuba dive or go on a tour, rock climb or something like that. we didn't sign up to do anyof those things so we just walked around that hot island and had taxi drivers and locals asking us for money for about 2 hours. being on the ship wasn'ttoo bad.

wow I can't believe that. you should definitely go. I've been twice to the Bahamas and I'm 19. I stayed at Atlantis both times which is one of thebest hotels in the whole world. I'm for sure you will have a fun time. Go for sure. Especially with your girl. You will be smashing every night. There's dance club in that B. Go do your thing for sure. There's also usually a couple of real nice restaurants also. If you are 21+ you take downdrinks usually every day all day. Should be included in your trip fee. Go man. Good times to be had.. I'm jealous.

I went there last year in April with a few of my close buddies and we stayed at a timeshare. The trip was relaxing: we played some golf, gambled a little atthe Atlantis Resort that everyones been talking about and just chilled. However, I wasn't really feeling the nightlife there. I say if you are going withyour girl, you'll have a good time though. I do remember the food was amazing at Seafood Haven (?).

I've been to the Bahamas twice. Last time I went it was a Spring Break trip and we stayed at a hotel at Port Lucaya for my senior class trip. Not too muchI can add to the post aboe but I will tell you this:

WATCH YOUR $#!+

Trust me...

OP, you should have a good time. Really should leave from florida (unless you're already in the south) just so you have something to do whike you cruise tothe bahamas. Ask a local about spots to hang out but I hit the Atlantis in the day then I think we went to Senor frogs? at night. It was the off season sothere wasnt much going on, but still had a good time. Should be alot to do on the boat too.

when i went, i fley and stayed for a week and it was honestly one of the best experiences so far. the crystal clear water, the atmosphere/ambience, theweather, the women.

very nice.

Morning bump...

On my list of places to visit but wouldn't do a cruise, probably a resort. Everything is so rushed and timed. I like to roam around and not be told whattime to come back and eat and all that

Stay at the Atlantis. I went there with my GF. We destroyed the room on some Dateline NBC blacklight-detection status. Good time.
