Odyssey first. SMBU is a port with some added content.
Snag both under retail if you can, they're both 2+ years old.

You’ll def wanna go with Odyssey first but NSMBU is also a must cop imo especially if you didn’t buy the Wii U version

I had NSMBU and Super Luigi U on the Wii U and actually happy they ported them over. When my wife asked what games I wanted for my switch that was one of the first games I told her.

odyssey is trash.
only dope parts are Mario's moveset
the retro levels
the costumes
graphics in some parts
nsmbu > odyssey in everything else IMO.
they need to hurry up and port 3d world. not enough ppl have played through it and played champions road/mystery house marathon.

in a sequel to 3d world i'd really like to see them go into dinosaur land, the star world and special worlds...and bring koopalings back.
