This is a rumor that came out earlier

Earlier today we reported that a source in GameStop upper management had confirmed trade-in deals for New Nintendo 3DS, and since then a release date has been added to the GameStop system. Although it should still be considered as tentative until officially confirmed by Nintendo, GameStop lists New Nintendo 3DS for release in North America on February 13. Pre-orders will start soon (possibly tomorrow, although that is not confirmed), and trading in your old 3DS or 3DS XL will net you $75 and $100 towards the new system, respectively.

With the news of the Direct, I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it then. :hat

@ the $100 off if you trade in.

Nah.

Nintendo of America tweeted out to join them @ Nintendo World for the Direct tomorrow. This has only happened when they did E3 so it's safe to say I'm hyped.

I'm deadass considering going to work late to go there cause something is telling me that they're gonna pull an Apple and either announce and release the NEW 3DS tomorrow or open up preorders right after the direct finishes. It's probably the latter cause some Gamestop employees have leaked that the 3DS will release on February 13th.

Either way, tomorrow is gonna be great. Only Nintendo can me hyped like this when it comes to announcements I swear lol.

apparently theyre used with the WiiU and the New 3DS releasing next month.

something with boosting stats in SSB, outfits for MK8 and other stuff.

i was told to pick them up by some people in another video game group im in. supposedly hes hard to find.

Same here. I plan on trading in my regular 3DS and preordering ASAP. Hopefully they announce some big AAA games too.

I skimmed a story yesterday about a dude who spent thousands on amiibos because he hates them or something like that.

whats he going for anyway? i didnt do it for a profit really just to score a trade with some things i want.

i read about that. idk whats worse, this person or a reseller. i wonder if hed destroy them.

havent played a Zelda game since NES/SNES days, cant wait to get my hands on this.
seems like theres only one version. from what the employee told me it will play on the old 3ds/xl and new 3ds/xl. Monster Hunter i think will be exclusive to the new 3ds if i remember correctly.

Word is that they'll be releasing Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4 alongside it but Xenoblade is more than likely gonna be the first NEW 3DS exclusive title.

I just thought it'd make sense to release a NEW 3DS exclusive with the NEW 3DS. If you already have a 3DS there's almost no reason to buy this right away, is there?

Pretty much, it's just like any system at launch really, there's not gonna be that many compelling titles to get. Monster Hunter is gonna be ideal cause of the faster processor and the 2nd stick and I hear that there are exclusive features in Majora if you play it with the NEW 3DS. I'll get it because of the trade in offer (if it is in fact real) and cause I love the 3DS and don't mind upgrading it for the new features.
