Well he's had 8 days off he should be fine, he himself said he's playing the best he's ever played. No excuses this time.

How is it not lebron's fault the east is weak? He made two decisions to form super squads in said confrence. He made a choice

Not as bad as Lebron's East. Numbers back it up too. The disparity wasn't nearly as wide either between the conferences. The East may have been better but for some reason Magic was still able to beat their best 5 outta 8 times and Lebby is sitting at 2 outta 5.

Actually, the last 10 years of the East has produced more 50 win teams than the West from 1980-1989.

2006-2015 East has had 18 non-LeBron 50 win teams. 15 non-Magic 50 win teams in the West for 10 year stretch.

The Lakers even played a 31 win team in the 1st round one year. 31!

So what numbers back this claim up?

The East sucks. And it'll be a footnote in history. Just like the West sucking in the 80's. Or Jordan re-entering into an expanded watered down league with rule changes that fed right into the wheelhouse for an aging player. The game is still the game.

Also Ezili/Speights/Lee vs Perkins/Jones is gonna be a real problem... The warriors can also become a bit of a problem on the boards if the Cavs wanna keep playing small... Now not only are you asking Bron to guard on the perimeter... play the post on offense, & fight on the boards against some pretty solid rebounders

With that said Mahic still has five and played some of his best games against the GOATS in the finals.... So yes his path to the Finals was trash also, still doesn't take away from LBJ's path being garbage & him being beaten senseless by the other conference 3/5 times

Would still rather have my team going to the finals in a garbage conference than sitting at home watching the finals with no one to root for.

As long as kerr doesn't opt for the "no defense" defense on lebron like popovich experimented with the dubs have a shot

Once again the strategy worked well enough to have them winning until a Ray Allen 3... and the next year he employed it again and zipped them up in 5 :lol.

This is the EXACT strategy they should employ the entire series... Lebron mentality is team first, he simply is not a guy who will stay in attack mode all game, its something that isn't natural to him, he rather create and get teammates involved that's when he's at his best..

because of this he isn't a stone cold scorer in the mold of a Pierce, Kobe, Iverson etc etc... if he starts off slow from the field and you keep giving him the jumper he'll become more and more hesitant at attacking.. So hesitant that he'll slowly start to become disengaged from the game. Once he gets into that mode his teams usually become FOOD.

Also this strategy is even more potent in this series because the Cavs w/o Love & a slower Kyrie have guys who really can't create or have tendencies to force things (J.R). So even if Lebron does somehow develop an attacking personality on the court in his 11th season, it's gonna force him to expend so much energy on O and it will help GS exceptionally on the other end because guys like J.R/Kyrie won't be as engaged if they aren't making buckets.

Magic beat 8, 50-win West teams in the playoffs, more than Lebron has done his entire career including the Finals. The disparity is glaringly obvious:

From 80-89: 25 West teams won 50 games vs 35 East teams.

From 06-15: 55 East teams won 50 games vs 27 East teams.

So 25 vs 27 with 12 teams in a conference vs 16 today which should water down the competition even more.

It's been conceded that the West in the 80's was the weaker conference partly due to the unbalanced number of teams, expansion, and realignment of one of the West's most formidable teams the Bucks to the East during that period. But the disparity clearly was not as bad as it is now especially when Magic was able to beat better competition on the way to the Finals as well as beat the best from the other conference 5 times.

Sure it'll be a footnote to you who had Bron #2 all time I believe, but for those who keep touting his consecutive Finals appearances like it's such an accomplishment while ignoring the competition he's going up against, well it's proving to not be that impressive especially if he keeps losing in the Finals in spectacular fashion.
