To counter that, it'd be interesting to see how China would play this and the trading investments that we have, leading me to remember that China does have military capabilities that alarm our military at times(entire different game).. but I do not see them siding with North Korea in this case. We all know that most of our imports come from China and if sided with North Korea, that's a HUGE hit to our economy and theirs(currency, imports, etc - just a big mess period). The United States has always had to turn a blind eye towards China due to this factor.
I have to agree with everything you've said in this thread (which I posted earlier
). Economically, we have a partnership with China: ours benefitsfrom their prices, theirs benefits from our consumption. If they don't put their foot down to Kim Jong and back us, you better believe we're goingelsewhere with our consumption. China isn't stupid. Their growth RELIES on us. Not to mention, all that Gov't debt that they're purchasing from usis so large now that, and a lot of economists are saying this, it will probably never be paid back and will probably just be pardoned by US foreign investmentinto China. If nothing else, China would let us use their army and naval bases...not that we'd even need it.
