***$$$-NT Sportsbook Thread vol.2- Props props props props props props... EVERYBODY!

Damn Paul, sounds like me and you live eerily similar lives. I also started about 8-9 years ago.
Everyone starts small, then you get to the point where having 50-100 on a game feels like a waste of time :lol (yet at times :( )

:hat

Thanks for that other site. I'll have to check it out. Been looking for something else.

:Nthat

Put up a sizeable bet for RG3 to take the Skins to a win. Made all the money back I lost on Sunday. Phew. I feel much better. Even if I did lose in my FFL by 1.5 points.... All I needed was another few yards from RG3 or Nicks.

:eek
man...serious money being made. i realize how small-time i am at this betting stuff now :lol

You're not alone. I haven't put more than $10 on a bet yet. I'm taking small risks but sticking with parlays but there's always that one team that #$%#$ me up.

Thanks, man.
I would say 85% of my plays are my own analysis. I definitely keep my mind open to anyone's POV on a game or team, but I've found following your own gut, especially if you know your stuff, is the best way to go.
I definitely don't pay for a service (thought about it, but nothing is guaranteed and I feel more comfortable losing with my gut), but I do frequent therx.com. Some people that post in there are really good and provide great insight, but as with most sites, it's hard to find quality insight instead of just plays. I take into account someone like Colin Cowherd as well. He's pretty damn good at betting. There would be more, but not too many people are open with talking publicly about the why's of their plays or if they even play at all.
You'll find your "go-to" sources, if you will, just to get that other perspective, but I only do it to reinforce my picks. After you do it for awhile you accumulate enough knowledge to know how the betting world works and you just go from there.
That's kind of a rambling synopsis of your question crammed into a few paragraphs so hopefully that helps.

QFT,
Prefer CappingTheGame.com > TheRX...both are much better than Covers though

Thank you.

I normally go on ESPN's site and read the team pages to see whose playing whose not. Trends and %#^$.

I've also looked at team schedules and averages. Doesn't always work but it does help with me when deciding if I'll take over or under.

I keep wanting to up my bets to $100 a pop from $50 but that will be the week I go 1-6 or some **** and lose half of what I've build up this season.

Up by 18 units as it stands right now.

Three Team Parlay put in for NBA Tonight:
OKC  -165 (ML)
Philly -170 (ML)
Hou   +120 (ML)

Riding that Houston wave too. I just don't think my Lakers have their stuff together yet...

Also riding the Heat to cover -10 I hate double digits but I just don't see Washington's heart in it.

It never fails bro. Every time I up my over all bets I seem to hit a rough patch. I always know that if I just keep it consistent I'll end up on the positive side and much bigger numbers, but a real bad weekend on a high bet amount always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So I just stick to my $25 bets... I need to hit a big parlay though and I'm sure i'll start upping my bets again lol.

I'm thinking of getting on that as well... Best of Luck to us both.

I put a unit on Blake to go over 20.5 so far so good 11 pts first quarter. Also a healthy unit on lob city to cover.

funny how that works out...
solid day yesterday and looks like i'm about to go 0-4, potentially 0-5 on the night. ouch

I know how it feels brother. I was 0-6 nba until yesterday. I went 3-1. Tonight I'm 3 for 3 and if Blake does his thing and the clips cover I'm 5 for 5. And in usually don't play nba at all.

Putting all my focus and effort into this Den/Oak game tonight.

5 Units on Denver -10.5

1 Unit on a 4 way parlay.

Lets get this money boys.
