It's essentialy what divides what you actually win in money from the actual W/L record.
Say I take KC +7 for 1 unit.
My 1 unit =$100. 10 units = $1000.
A bettor can can go 3 for 3 on 1 unit bets, but have one game where they bet 10 units and lose that game..They're 3 for 4, but they lose out on units because their big unit play was lost.
Make sense? Sorry...Buzzed man trying to explain betting.
