***$$$-NT Sportsbook Thread vol.2- Props props props props props props... EVERYBODY!

I really wanna pull the trigga on that Boise St./Nevada game, but I think I'm gonna sit back and just enjoy the game.

I bet that NO/DAL game.
I took the Saints at the Half and the over at the half.

O/U was 24 @ the half. Cowboys kicked that 53 yrd field goal to cover the over right at the end of the half.
Thats as far as my luck went.

Im a huge Jets fan and never bet on them but after winning so many games by such a small margin how they ##@@ they beat Cin by 16?

Anyways, I havent started betting online yet but can someone explain to me the concept of "units"?
Thanks in advance.

I honestly feel like !%+$ after todays games. I feel like the 2 losses I took were really bad beats. Like getting sucked out on the river in holdem. If Reggie Bush wasnt such a sally #@!*, New Orleans wins in a rout. And the Bengals.....SMH. 2 long plays and a B S punt fumble resulting in a TD. Im not upset over losing my Bengals ML play (knew it was a longshot), but I am pissed about the +10. Should have been an easy cover.

I am not usually one to whine about losing. But I feel like I was on the correct side of the two plays I lost today. Feel like I got incredibly unlucky. Oh well. Lost less than a unit total. And we got 3 more days of football to go.

12-13 (-0.9 units) in vol.2

Man, yesterday was just weird...all the squares out there got lucky as hell (I'd say Cowboys/Saints was 50/50) with those Patriot and Jet wins/covers...

I'll still play Lions ML all day in that spot, the Patriots just aren't that good - definitely the worst 9-2 team in NFL history, and I will be loading up against them in the playoffs...especially if they face a team with a halfway decent passrush/defense...you saw what the Lions did when they got pressure on them...I still wonder how Pittsburgh got 0 pressure (aside from some of the injuries)

I'll go down fading the Patriots if I have to, so be it. Belichick is the one winning them these games, well, and Brady too...but that can't last THAT long IMO. Or maybe it can...Belichick is definitely GOAT/God.

I only had ML in each game so I got pretty f'ed, I ended up getting so mad about everything that I left my uncles early, went home and slept a bit, and woke up feinding to get some money back - something I usually never do - instead of watching the college basketball games/76 classic like I had planned I drove myself to the local casino (what better way to end Thanksgiving than at an Indian casino) and messed around with roulette a bit. I was so upset I just played black 10 straight times to start off the night...it hit 8 out of the 10, then I split the 0's two spins in a row, on the 2nd spin, it @%%#$%% hit 00. I took my chips, left, and cashed them in, went back to the table with what I started, did the exact same thing with the 0's, it @%%#$%% hit 00 again. Took all my chips, played one hand of Blackjack, hit @%%#$%% 20, dealer busted, and got the hell out of that place....first time I've ever done anything like that (if I go to a casino its strictly poker - sometimes craps for fun) but it paid off big time in the end...that was one of the first times gambling got the best of me, but it worked, I believe it happened because someone up there knew how horrible my ML losses were yesterday...I truly believe the Lions, Cowboys, and Bengals all should have one...and still do

Anyways, all I can do is move onto today, and try and focus more on CBB,

Love Tulsa ML +130 later, watched the replay of their game vs UNLV last night when I got home and liked them even more than I did before that game, really think they could've one that game if not for a few mistakes...and UNLV is GOOD

Tulsa ML pretty large over Stanford in the 76 Classic - I like Tulsa as a tournament team too so this works well, Stanford - lets just say I'm not high on

Alaska Anchorage (from what some of my guys I trust have said) is worth a play at -6 in the Alaska Anchorage classic, was told to lay up to 8

Santa Clara +13 is enticing because Arizona should be looking ahead to the big Kansas matchup tomorrow, but I won't touch it as Zona could roll this team by 20+ in the 1st half with the way they've been clicking...very eager to drop the hammer on Arizona ML tomorrow vs Kansas...D Will is playing on another level right now

Tennesse ML is +220 against Villanova? Really? Sure, I'll take some of that
laugh.gif
...I hate betting Tennessee but situationally this spot fits - with all the Pearl bs, he'll have these guys loose and ready to go - and they have the talent to pull off a UConn vs Kentucky type win...expected -1 in all honesty in favor of Nova

Like Rutgers a little over St Joes but I'll probably stay off it, 3 looks about right

^ Nah a Unit isnt any certain number... Its just a way to standardize a comfortable bet for any individual... My 1 unit is typically $20 while I know others on here may be $100 or more.

If most of my standard bets are $20 then that is relative to the $100 someone else has.

Unit can be anything, people usually post unit instead of $ because they may not feel comfortable saying what $ amount they're betting,

If someone has a bankroll of $100, a unit may be $5...

If someone has a bankroll of $5000, a unit may be $100...

It can pretty much be anything, and why I don't pay much attention to units/whatever, its just an easier way for people to keep track of their progress online (if they want to do that sort of thing)

I'm with you on Boise St. I don't know how I feel about Alabama. I like Louisiana Tech tomorrow too. SJSU is pretty bad.
What do you guys think about the Oklahoma game?
I'm taking the Falcons and Chargers on sunday too.

Ok, I think this explains it.
Basically its any value I assign to it. Just a way out of having to say the dollar amount a person is betting.

Thanks for that info.
