Had this one as well that weekend

I have most my drinking on Instagram

That green tea IPA was solid. Not much green tea flavor/aroma, but still a solid IPA.

Ruination 2.0 just got tapped. Need to find time to give it a taste test.

Went to Austin this weekend. Jester King released their new collaboration beer and still had a bottle of the Eqipose. Plus, a bar in Houston is having a fire sale on all the BCBS bottles.

What did you think of the Jester King/Crooked Stave collab? I got a couple bottles but havent tried it yet.

New Glarus Brewing produces some of the most sought-after beer in Wisconsin’s neighboring Midwest states like Minnesota and Illinois, but it’s only available in Wisconsin.
The craving for New Glarus’ Spotted Cow flagship beer drove one Minnesota bar manager to cross state lines and bring six kegs to his establishment to serve. Patrons were happy, the state of Minnesota wasn’t.

New Glarus beer is only licensed for sale in Wisconsin due to limited supply.

Police received an anonymous tip and visited the bar themselves undercover. When they asked the bartender at the Maple Tavern in Maple Grove for a Spotted Cow, they were served a draft.

From KMSP:

Investigators also saw images of a Spotted Cow tap handle on Maple Tavern’s Facebook page, and advertising indicating that the beer was available.

Since New Glarus Brewing Company is not a licensed manufacturer of alcohol in Minnesota, there are no licensed Minnesota distributors who are authorized to legally distribute the beer to retail establishments.

“Sorry about the limited distribution, non-Wisconsinites, there are only so many hours in the day to make beer and we can only keep up with the local demand,” New Glarus apologizes on its website.

So stupid.

I heard about that Houston fire sale on BA.
Vanilla Rye was $14.
Individual bottles of BCBS were $4.
Crazy stuff.

Nice ! I'll look out for this too! [emoji]128077[/emoji][emoji]128077[/emoji]
Pipeworks makes a lot of weird ****. That one has been one of the better.
Sounds really interesting. And nice Mountain Toad glass!

Pass by Mountain Toad a couple times a week, but they're always so packed you can barely get in the door so I've never stopped.
My sister actually grabbed me that over the last weekend when she was out there. She said it was a pretty dope place.

Sale? On the almighty BCS?!

How did that last so long?

Beats me. Some of the stuff sold out almost instantly like the Vanilla Rye and the bottles of Coffee stout but by the time I made it up there, they still had the barleywines and the BCS from 2013 and 2014, plus some of their Belgian Stuff from years ago like Sofie, Hilia, etc. . They were also doing snifters of BCS, Barleywine and Coffee for 4 bucks apiece AND they were selling growlers of 2014 BCS for 25 apiece. It was nuts. If I didn't spend too much in Austin, I def. would have gotten a lot more out of it.

Last couple of nights.

Something was off with that City of the Dead. Flavor was a bit flat. My other bottles were fine.
And the BCBCS, the coffee was just about gone.
All 3 of these bottles were the last of my stash for each.

here's a pic of that place in Houston.

That's funny. That BCBS sale was in one of the Texas craft beer groups I follow on FB. From what I remember, that bar was offloading all Goose Island products to kill all relations with the brewery. I heard that the selection was nuts.

Already paid off a mule to get me a case of each while I'm at work on Sunday.
Want to work out a trade for few cans of each for a few bombers of Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue & Golden Nugget?
I don't wanna promise anything at the moment.  I'm giving Wally a thumbs-up because I've traded with him a bunch and know he's a stand-up guy.  I'm talking with my mule right now and it's looking like it's a definite go, but I don't wanna get anyone's hopes up and fail to deliver.

I'll keep everyone posted once Sunday comes.

Trip to Portland was amazing. Great city. All my beer finally arrived home safely!

Cracked a '14 and a '15 up at Wanee Music Fest with three homies over the weekend. All four of us preferred the '14.
Gotta agree with that one.  Kind of let down by this year's.  Still extremely appreciative to have the opportunity to try it.

You drink that Bon Bon yet?  If so, how did it stack up compared to Heady?

Bro I had that up there too. I really liked it. That was fantastic. I though Heady was good too, but it was almost a nostalgic thing due to it's "world ranking" or whatever. If it was readily available like a Two Hearted, I'd probably buy TH more. I also brought up White Oaks and four Grapefruit Sculps which were on point. Good weekend of beer drinking, camping, (boomers) and music!
