Wasn't a fan of Mosaic Promise from Founders... Grabbed a 4 pack of Curmudgeon and it was as good as ever... Will stock the fridge with Breakfast Stout and the shelves with Bourbon for the winter months.

I've had that but I believe mine was a 2012; talk about a beer that pours like motor oil but it was very good. One of my favorites. We have a 2013 coming up. Let's go Chargers!
@Based Mod damn. it was 14 at total wine lol.
i probably won't open it for another month or so. prolly just gonna save it for a certain occasion.
my first sour ale though, it was delicious. soo sour and tart, can't wait to try other sours.
That Chai was a TOTAL let down for me when I had it.My cousins have been looking for this, Pumpkin ale brewed with chai tea.
+infinityPumking was pure sex last night
I work for phoenix beverages and had a convo with one of the managers at food town in the bx. He tells me a lot of people ask for their stuff but they always have inventory issues.
I kind of understand why Founders doesn't deem it necessary to distribute out to Cali (at least yet). If you look at Founders' year-round releases, there's really nothing all that spectacular going on. You guys have much better readily available IPAs, pale ales, etc. than what Founders offers up on a regular basis. They probably wouldn't make too much off of those releases, which are their true profit-generators. Most people seem to only want Founders for FBS and KBS.
Adding to this, Founders' distro is...not the best, to say the least. Any "new" beer we get from Founders is at least a month old by the time it gets to NY. I can only imagine how bad it would be for California.
Since Im not an expert with beer.
If I wamted to pick up like 2-5 Pumking bombers and save them how long can I save them for?
I picked up an 11 month old bottle since I found one at a California bottle shop and had never had it before. It had more of a custard flavor and less spice forward. It was still really delicious.Just my opinion, but I wouldn't age a pumpkin beer very long. 4 months maybe?
Pumpkin beers are brewed with spices that are very warm and assertive. You age that and I think it will all mellow and muddy those flavors too much.
That's just what I was told when I asked where it was. The guy said "they are good but they aren't real sours."@Meyer23 hmm didn't know that. i don't know much on sours though but it was delicious nonetheless.
From my understanding, anything brewed with Brettanomyces.
What constitutes a "true" sour, though?
I've keep bottles all fall/summer before opening them because I would buy a case or two before the season was over and keep them for a rainy day and/or drink them during the holidays and such. I've noticed no difference. (With that said, I keep them in the fridge all the time).

I think the issue is that "sour" is really just an all-encompassing term for any beer that's sour. A beer doesn't need to have brett to be sour. It can contan lactobacillus, pediococcus, and a bunch of other wild yeast strains or live bacteria. "Sours" can be anything from American Wild Ales, Flanders Red/Brown Ales, Berliner Weisses, Lambics, Oud Bruins, Krieks, Geuzes, Goses, etc. From my understanding, anything brewed with Brettanomyces.

If you have a chance to try anything from Smog City Brewing out of L.A, do it.
Best brewery in L.A., in my opinion.
