I went snooping around today and the range finally had scar mags. And as hit and miss as they are to find I had to get both off GP and a PMAG for the panic buying

caught one of those old school good deals last weekend off a local board.

guy was selling wheel weights...I just happened to be getting ready to start casting buckshot. He listed it at $2 per lb, or $1 per if you buy over 200 lbs. my plan was to buy 200 lbs and cast it up. I go over to his house and we get to talking and he says if I take it all, he’ll let me have it for 50 cents per lb. the last scrap lead I found online was 1.5 per lb shipped and I was all over that. He also threw in another 20 lbs he had sitting, and 10 lbs of ingots. So basically, close to 900 lbs of lead.

after I loaded the lead, the old fella invited me to hang out and check out some other things he’s getting rid of. He laid a smooth $20,000 in revolvers and let me diddle them all; had a 3.5” and 5” model 27’s (no dash), a first year m66, a model 29 no dash, and a couple of other smooth, great revolvers from S&W. jewseejay he also had a number of Winchester 94’s, a couple chambered in 32 special and 1 30-30, all in impeccable condition.

he told me he was getting ready to sell his house due to age and his wife’s health, and was selling 50 years worth of accumulated tools and guns. Had a nice conversation with him for about an hour and half, and he offered up his molds for $25 and $30 per mold, handles included. If you look up some of those molds on eBay, they’re selling for well over 3 times what they normally run.

Im especially grateful I had a chance to meet Up and talk with him, but the whole time I was playing with his NDS guns, I just kept thinking how terrible it was this guy has all sorts of dope ***, incredible guns and never even shot them. To me, it’s like marrying a hot virgin and never having sex with her so she’ll still be a virgin for the next man. I’m just not built that way. I don’t think I’ve ever not shot a gun I bought.

I've heard good things about Olight, Streamlight, and Inforce. They're all reasonably priced too.

I actually just got a Olight for my CZ yesterday. Love it so far.

Bought two of these S&W pistols with the intention to keep one flip one but pretty sure ill flip both, feels like a very cheap polymer blend. *shrugs*
