True, he just hasnt signed yet. I think from a basketball perspective he was better off opting in this year and becoming a FA next year. I think LA wouldve looked more attractive next season. Plus, you know a lot of FAs already signed to overvalued contracts.

Given Chi seems to be the best choice according to the media and that seems like Melo isn't going there at all makes sense we'd get a whole bunch of rumors and reports about Melo leaning to LA especially since he's still there and lives there during the off season.
