Let's be serious. The only reason LA has a "chance" is because lala doesn't mind living there. Highly doubt she'll wanna move to Chicago or Houston. I hope bosh goes to Houston, so we have less to worry about with Miami.

-They have Kobe (yes an old one, but still Kobe whose better than anyone we have and is Melos bff)
-They have a good rookie
-They have the cap space this year to add a Bosh (if he leaves) or Pau

I'm all over the place with this one. Would love to see Melo in orange and blue again, but not sold on the amount of cap space his contract would take. I do want to see Melo with a ring by the end of his career, so unless Phil works his magic I don't see it happening here.

Not sure if you'e poetic or you just heard/watch too much Jay-Z and The Dark Knight
Melo will be 35 when he approaches the end of this contract. You need to ask yourself if that's worth it. He's not so much of a physical player and plays above the rim. Melo is predominately a perimeter player now and I can see him playing past contract, barring some sort of unfortunate freak accident.

Should've quoted that, TDK of course lol. Melo can definitely be the foundation of this team. I can easily see him playing past this contract, but he needs the right type of players around him. Last season's roster and play was abysmal and inexcusable. Would hate to see him get Ewing'ed.

Thats nothing. I went on the Lakers forum last night after seeing it mentioned in the Laker thread just to see whatsup. I forgot whats its called. But anyway, they are absolutely insane in there. They were calling 1OAK LA last night to see if Melo was there because if he was that meant he was celebrating becoming a Laker. They're apparantly also desperate to sign KG (uhh ok?). So yeah.

I used to be in the Lakers thread from time to time when Dwight first got traded there telling them why he would never stay in LA as objectively as I could. They were cool with that, a lot of them called me stupid and said he would "never leave a championship franchise" but they were fine with me in there. I posted enough and had some good discussions. (I ended up being right of course)
But one night of telling them they have no chance at signing Bron and Melo for 16 million each, hissy-fit's and sour-pusses all around. One horrible season and they've all changed. They're living in some kind of bubble they can't get out of
