Fixed.

Wade can't score just two points in the second half, he's gotta do better than that.

Ray Allen will be a free agent this summer and his desire is to remain with the Boston Celtics, whether that's signing an extension or re-signing in the offseason.

"I would love to be here," Allen told The Boston Globe. "In my mind right now, for me there's no other place to be. It's a great tradition. This is really NBA basketball to me, being a part of a team and the tradition of winning, a great fan base. But the situations have to be addressed. There is a business connected to it. The team is going to do what they think is necessary. We'll have to make a decision based on how they come to me business-wise."

"I am a loyalty person. If the opportunity presented itself to get a deal at the current moment as we speak, I would be all over it. So moving forward, I don't have to worry about how the summer is going to go and long term we at least between myself, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, we know we are going to be here, Rasheed Wallace and Rajon Rondo. You know what the core is going to be."

The Memphis Grizzlies took a second look at Von Wafer, but have decided to pass on the shooting guard. The team now will focus on potential deals as the trade deadline gets closer.

The Grizzlies have over $3 million in cap room, three probable first-round picks in the 2010 NBA draft and they have an open roster spot.

Miami's Dorell Wright and Utah's Ronnie Brewer have been linked with the Grizzlies.

Portland's 2007 first-round draft pick, Petteri Koponen, is playing for Virtus Bologna this season. His former coach in Finland, Mihailo Pavicevic, was in the Rose City yesterday to give an update on the Finnish point guard.

Pavicevic says Koponen is progressing nicely and hopes Koponen can get to the NBA soon. The Blazers know they'll have to bring him over at some point.

"Here's the thing we know about Petteri: He's a phenomenal worker, and from that perspective, he'll fit right in," general manager Kevin Pritchard told The Columbian. "At some point in time, we've got to bring him over."

The newspaper notes the Dallas Mavericks are highly interested in Koponen.

The Cavs are in active trade discussions with a number of clubs as they look for depth in the frontcourt. Antawn Jamison (Wizards) and Troy Murphy (Pacers) have been associated with the team in many rumors.

New Jersey is one of the teams that could make a run at Amare Stoudemire now since they have what the Suns want; young players and draft picks.

The Nets, as the New York Daily News points out, have 10 draft picks over the next three drafts, including potentially five first-rounders. They could also offer Yi Jianlian, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Courtney Lee or rookie Terrence Williams.

The Suns could lose Stoudemire to free agency this summer, so there is a chance they will trade him now.

The Nets may have the most cap room in July, so they could go after him then, if he is not traded.

The Warriors, like all teams, are making calls to gauge potential trades. One deal that won't occur is Monta Ellis for Ray Allen. That rumor came out of Boston yesterday and head coach Don Nelson laughed it off.

Warriors' general manager Larry Riley admits a change is needed for his team, but when will it happen?

"We're in a situation where we need to look very strongly at change," Riley told The Oakland Tribune. "Whether it's by Feb. 18 (trade deadline) or in the offseason, we're in a situation where we're going to have to make a change here."

Sources tell the newspaper Ellis is off limits at this time and that the Warriors have not spoken to the Suns about Amare Stoudemire since last summer.

Al Jefferson has seen his name in the rumor mill of players that could be traded, but he won't let the speculation bother him. David Kahn has assured him that a trade is not going to happen, however Jefferson knows anything is possible.

"He has been honest with me," Jefferson told the Star Tribune of Kahn. "We both know you can be traded. He doesn't come telling me, 'Al, we would never trade you.' Last conversation I had with him, he told me he wasn't talking about trading me to Indiana. But he's not going to make a promise that he'll never trade me because this is how the business is.

"You just have to understand that it's nothing personal. A GM's got to do what's best for his team. Trading me or anybody else on this team doesn't mean he doesn't like us. I've been in this league long enough to realize if no one is talking about you or wants to trade for you, that's when you need to be upset."

There is a lot of Amare Stoudemire trade speculation going on right now. Could Jason Richardson's name also be part of the rumor mill, too?

The Arizona Republic points out that "trade talks close to the deadline often involve a team's highest-paid player, leaving Richardson next up for debate after Stoudemire."

Richardson is making $13.3 million this season and $14.4 million in 2010-11.

"After that first trade from Golden State, I realized it's a business," Richardson said. "After the trade from Charlotte (to Phoenix), I knew it was a business. You don't really worry about it. You just focus on winning games. I'm a high-paid player. We're struggling a bit. Unless you're a guy like Steve Nash or LeBron James, there's always going to be rumors about being traded."

Kosta Koufos was sent to the Utah Flash on Monday. Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan says he wants Koufas to get a lot of playing time.

"Hopefully, he approaches it the right way, that it's not a punishment," Sloan told The Salt Lake Tribune. "It's just a way to hopefully get him a chance to improve and move up in the business he's in. ... I think it's time for him to get a chance to play. We waited and probably should have done it sooner, but that's the way it is."

The Nuggets declined to suspend J.R. Smith Monday after spending most of the game Saturday pouting. Could Smith's antics affect the team's ability to contend for a championship?

"He's one of our best players, and if you have one of your best players not either playing at his best or acting as best he can, it's going to affect the team," Nuggets captain Chauncey Billups told The Denver Post. "And his role has been increased this year. The last couple years, he maybe wasn't a player we had to lean on every night. We need J.R. (this year). He knows that. We need him to be right -- at all times."

Knicks president Donnie Walsh told the New York Post that he plans to spend the week talking with the scouting department to form a gameplan as we get closer to Feb. 18.

"I will pick their brains, [as] they are out there looking at pro teams," Walsh said. "Who do you think can play that we don't know about or don't see a lot? That kind of thing. We have guys who know the teams. But it takes two to tango."

Walsh wants to make sure that any deal he may consider won't backfire on him.

"You're assuming any move would help us make the playoffs," Walsh said. " I don't assume. You have to make the right move in order to have something like that happen. If that's there, we do it. I wouldn't think I have to make a move. It isn't like I woke up and [said], 'Oh my god, I have to do something now.'"

While most of the league is looking to make a move as we get closer to the trade deadline, the Boston Celtics seem to be content with their roster.
Boston Herald when asked if he thinks the Celts need to make a move. "I like our team. I would be willing to go into the playoffs exactly the way we are right now. If we can improve, we improve it, and that would be great, too. But if we started the playoffs with the 12 guys or whatever number we have and everybody was healthy, I love our team."
Even though a move is unlikely, Danny Ainge is still making calls around the league.

"You never just stand still," Ainge said last night. "But it usually doesn't lead to anything. You're always talking to teams to see if there's anything that might improve your team, but you don't make a trade just to make one."

I'd like the Grizzlies to make a run at Grant Hill.

Suns need to blow it up and Hill would be the perfect fit on the Grizzlies' bench. Just throw the Suns one of the late first round picks.

, but that trade would honestly put us over the hump IMO.  It also brings Bron his other true All Star.  And if Amare's stats are a bit inflated from having Nash as a PG (like I think know they are), Bron should be able to keep them up there.

I've come to the conclusion that if we are indeed going to trade for a PF, I want STAT, and it is really easy.

Antawn is 34 (he might be a better option than STAT for this year, but beyond that, NO)
Troy is 30.
STAT is 27.

This is the thing... he's stated he wanted to be THE MAN for whatever team he plays for... meaning... The Team will Never Win... EVER.

I can't picture Stoudemire being a go-to-guy. That would be horrible. Pau was definitely a better franchise player than Amare and that's not saying much. STAT probably wouldn't make the playoffs LEADING a team as a no.1 option. Probably in the East, but definitely not the West. He needs to learn that he isn't that good to be a franchise player. Hell, he's not even a top 3 PF right now. Top 5 would be pushing it.
