In other news, yall still think KD is better than Carmelo? And why wasn't Rudy Gay man enough to guard him last night, instead they put a rookie on him andlook what happened

Eh, time will tell. Kid is playing in a great situation right now, his worth will be proven if/when its his team.

Glad we locked him up, he's the guy in a few years

A lot more responsability is coming his way

Hornets point guard Chris Paul had to be held back after Sunday's loss to the Celtics when he tried to enter Boston's locker room.
Paul and Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo both received technical fouls after exchanging words in the second quarter.

Boston won 97-87, while Paul posted 22 points and eight assists.

Memphis teammates O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay got into a shouting match near the end of the team's loss to Denver on Sunday night.
Mayo scored a career-high 40 points, but the Grizzlies lost 133-123.

The incident took place during a timeout late in the fourth quarter. Gay took exception when Mayo made a strong comment about his teammates not getting back on defense, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins and a number of players stepped in to separate the two players.

"I told them to shut up so we can get on with the rest of the game," Hollins said. "It's not about you. It's about us trying to win a game. We can't stand here with you guys going back and forth. It was a heat-of-the-moment incident. They get along. They're just competitors. They both want to succeed."
After the game both Mayo and Gay said that the incident was "nothing."

That didn't take long. And that's without AI in the mix.

Chris Paul sad and crying already.

He needs to get moved to a contender so he can play ball. I heard those idiot Celtic announcers talkin about how he don't have fun anymore. He don'tsmile, he's just always mad now. And that vid looks a little like how they were talkin. Rondo out there on easy street, and Paul has every defenderlookin at him every second on the floor. And he acts like a baby when things don't go his way out there. Send him to Orlando, get back Nelson and 2-3 oftheir role guys and some picks and let CP3 and D12 unite.

@ everytime bigmike post something about memphis its somethingnegative. you are a fool.

the hornets are
sick.gif
. rockets are

.

i'm sure memphis can finish at least 3rd in that division as long as iverson doesn't blow the team up. i'm kinda scared to see iverson tonightagainst sacramento. the starters look great together, so at this point his *+# just needs to come off the bench. point blank.

as bad as the Hornets and Rockets may be they are still better then Memphis

and hoston is going to be fighting to be a .500 team all year long can you say the same about Memphis?

Michael Redd is out for 2 weeks.

I'm not really sure how to address some of these comments.

Three games into the season with seven new players, two losses coming on the road against two of the four best teams in the league, and the Hornets are"

."

Get real.

ok, well maybe they not "

". but, they were one of the teams ifelt like may lose their playoff spot this season.

memphis got 8 new players and is currently the youngest team in the league. we've played better than expected so far. i still don't understand why ESPNgot the clippers ahead of us in the power rankings and they're 0-4.

mike, i'll bet any kinda money that the rockets won't be better than the grizzlies this year.

Chris Paul and David West (and Emeka Okafor to a lesser extent) are good enough to carry that roster of bums to atleast 45 wins, provided they stay healthy.

It's basically a one man team and maybe half a David West, so I'll go with a 1.5 man team and that's it.

Paul is good enough to get the to the playoffs so they can get beat down in the first round. That's about it.

the only tradeable assest they have is Paul and clearly that won't help them this year, so they're really stuck. Maybe they get lucky and pick up adecent mid level type player, I could see that, but does that move them into the upper levels of the Western Conference? I don't think so.

At some point, they have to break peices off. Peja, West, Posey should all be on the block to try and get younger real fast to build around CP3 and hope hedoesn't go completely crazy while it happens. Right now they are a classic middle of the pack type team, too good to go lottery, not good enough tocompete for it all. And that's not good.

If the Hornets could somehow package Morris Peterson (only 2 years left on his contract) and Hilton Armstrong (expiring) for an athletic swingman (say StephenJackson or Corey Maggette), they'd be dangerous.

I don't trust Maggette at all, but I think S-Jax would fit in nice with them. Plus he would be a good enforcer for Chris and his whining.

CP3
Jackson
Peja
West
Emeka

I like that 5. Posey as the first guy off the bench........then what? Not much left after that.

You guys really expected a different outcome from the Hornets/Spurs and the Hornets/Celtics game? It was a given that they were going to lose. I actuallythought they were going to lose by 20 to Boston.

You could at least pretend you've watched a Hornets game this season before you give an analysis.

Wright is starting over Peja, and it has worked well. Wright provides defense and athleticism to the starting lineup, and Peja scores off the bench. And as heshould be, Posey is about the 4th player off the bench.

The Hornets are an above-average shooting guard and the subtraction of Hilton Armstrong (and possibly a coaching change) away from contending right now.

It remains to be seen what Darren Collison and Marcus Thorton can provide because Byron Scott doesn't play rookies.

Not a fan of Maggette myself (had to watch him for 8 years here in LA) but he could benefit a lot from playing with Paul and would give NewOrleans a slasher to the basket.

If Jackson were to be acquired, I think starting Wright would be better because of his athleticism. If it were Maggette, then Peja would be better to helpspread the floor.
