I had to do 4 dribbles in high schoolOriginally Posted by lnMyMind
I hate to see shots like that at the end of the game...there are better ways of getting the ball down the floor in three seconds. In High school we had to run a drill where we had to get from baseline to baseline with three dribbles and finish with a layup. I don't know why he couldn't get a better shot than that to end...he even received the ball way too close to the man inbounding it and nobody was even guarding him
This wasn't a game where they had to "close out" tho...they were behind all the way until the last 5 minutes.Originally Posted by Lazy B
These Lakers aren't "elite" IMO. They fail to close out on mediocre to poor teams. They need to regain their awareness on both sides of the ball in order for them to be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
Great game by the Knicks tonight.

Games 4 & 6 from last year in the Finals is and should be in they're heads for all the motivation they need to play better to be achampionship team.Originally Posted by DontStepOnMyShoes
at this point the best thing for our squad is to go out on christmas and get dismantled by the celtics, something has to get into the head of this squad to make them realize they cant keep playin like this

Regardless of that, they should not be playing behind to a team such as the Knicks. Makes me wonder what is going through their heads when they play.

Gosh, you Lakers fans get cranky when you're in trouble...Seriously...and it's annoying to see. Dudes have one of the best teams in the NBA and the fans (on here at least) still manage to act like ##!%%%# for every single little thing that isn't perfect...I've never seen another group of fans on this board act like that.
We're spoiled fans and it's a big market team so there are a lot of us. While a Knicks fan might appreciate an appearance in the playoffs, delight inadvancing, and name their kids Nate if they make the Conference Finals, Lakers fans expect nothing but competing for and winning titles. It may seem ridiculousto be down on a 21-3 team, but they aren't the standard in the NBA right now and that's where the bar is set for them.
If you think these game threads are bad, take a look at Lakers message boards. It's horrible there.
See, that's the knock I have on Nate.
Son is too little to be trying to get off a shot in the paint for a game-winner like that.
I'd rather see it as a knock on the team. They either need a better player or a set play. Wilson Chandler was money around the free throw line andthey've got a lot of players that can hit that shot so they should practice some sort of intricate play for those end of quarter/game moments.
Once again, Kobe doesn't keep the ball moving as much as it should in this offense, some of the other guys move it too quickly, and Bynum isn't gettingthe deep position he should be able to get.
And yet we get threads started on here saying how Knicks fans are the MOST LOYAL fans in all of sportsOriginally Posted by Lbruce89

Things are going the way i predicted, knicks running the fakers out the building, fans booing the lakers sorry $#@+$ like they should. It's gonna be a ugly second half as the knicks get there first 35 point blowout of the season.
omg Ouch. The Lakers got the W and they're 21-3. Are the fans supposed to feel bad about that?Originally Posted by Lbruce89
