Official: 2008-2009 Fantasy Basketball Thread *Sticky*

I'd stick with Iverson.

The Nuggets will more then likely rely on Iverson a lot more now that three major role players are gone from last year.

While the opposite can be said for Portland, they have 3 new kids there that are going to soak up some of Brandon Roy's fantasy value.

btw hows jason kidd been performing this preseason ? you think he has a chance to avg at least 10-10-7 , like last year???
i was thinking about making a trade for him ..

Depends on who you're going for.

I think he'll put up double-digit assists this year, but I'm not sure how he'll fair with rebounding. There are three big bodies out there withDirk, Dampier, and Diop, not to mention BB who gobbles up offensives boards all night. If you can get the right price for Kidd, it's definitely worth it,but make sure you acknowledge the fact that he'll turn the ball over (as well as get a few steals).

He's been performing well, but his pre-season minutes/shots haven't been consistent. Don't go out of your way to trade for Kidd.

Iverson for sure. The only things Roy is better in is less turnovers and more rebounds. Other than that, Iverson is better to way better in everyother category.

I'd stick with Roy, he can only look to improve being the franchise player there. He's on my team though,

. But it really depends on what you need.

.....

On a different note....

Does anyone know on Yahoo if you can change your settings AFTER you've done your draft?

Our Commish did Weekly Line-Up changes instead of Day-to-Day changes. I think Weekly defeats the purpose of having a bench.

What do u guys think? ...i realize im seriously lacking in 3s and FT%

Sactown, you're also very depleted on assists. FG% might also be a problem.

Innovazn, looks decent. You'll control rebounds, and you have a lot of options with assists. Point production may not be as good as you may like.

I hate 20 man leagues. The talent pool is so damn diluted. It's hard to actually rate your team because I rarely participate in a 20 manleague. Other than NT's 20 man leagues last year, the most players I've played with were 14. I wouldn't know where to start

I like Iverson more. On top of scoring, Iverson is good for assists, steals, and FT%. Just be prepared to suck in the TO category

12 is ideal... 14 is ok. Anything more would have such a diluted talent pool to select from. Same goes for less. 10 team league is the leastI'd play. Anything less than that would have too many good players on the FA.
