Smoltz near the 3,000 milestone? His next scheduled start will be in Atlanta vs the Nationals on Tuesday. He can do it on that day

Us Braves fans will welcome back Andruw to Atlanta when the Dodgers come to town.

Yeah Braves fans will cheer Andruw's comeback he did so much for the Braves he should not be remembered for last year but what he did in his great Bravescareer.

The problem the Braves have is that when they are winning a blow out game like today the Bullpen pitches great, but when they are in a close game they give upruns that cost them the win just like all of their 1 run losses this year.

Moylan trying rehab to avoid season-ending surgery

ESPN.com news services

MIAMI -- Atlanta Braves reliever Peter Moylan may need season-ending surgery on his injured right elbow. An examination Wednesday by Dr. James Andrews confirmed a team doctor's earlier diagnosis -- a bone spur is pressing against a ligament in his right elbow. Moylan, who was put on the disabled list Tuesday, will undergo another two weeks of treatment, the team said Thursday. The Braves said he'll be re-evaluated after further treatment. If that does not work, Moylan might require reconstructive surgery on his elbow ligament, also known as Tommy John surgery. "You move on," manager Bobby Cox said before Thursday night's game at Florida, an 8-0 win for Atlanta. "Somebody's got to pick him up." Moylan, a native of Australia, was 0-1 with one save and a 1.59 ERA in seven games this season. He pitched 90 innings in 80 games as a rookie last year, going 5-3 with one save and a 1.80 ERA. "We're disappointed, for both Peter and our club, because he was an important part of our bullpen," Braves general manager Frank Wren said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We hope that the rehab in two weeks will improve his chances of returning this year, but understand that may not be possible." "It's going to be real tough [to replace him]," reliever Blaine Boyer, a rookie who could find himself facing more pressure situations in Moylan's absence, told the newspaper. "Pete, he's just had a rubber arm. He just threw up nasty stuff all the time. "That's just a huge loss for us. But we've got to pick him up, and I think we've got the guys to do it."

-Smoltz with a sore shoulder
-Glavine with a sore hamstring
-Gonzalez recovering from Tommy John
-Hampton just being himself
-Soriano with a %@%% up elbow
-Hudson has a "Sore" arm since his fastball was topping out around 88mph against the Marlins
-Chuck James still recovering from his injury
-Jo-Jo not ready for the majors.....

All you can do is laugh at this point.....I'm not even goin to take baseball seriously until All-Star break.......

Andruw is back and has 2 strike outs
smh.gif

Jeff Bennett pitching good so far.

Bennett out in 4 2/3 innings 0 earned runs. Bullpen needs to hold this one.

Braves won 4-1. Chuck James pitched for Tom Glavine who went on the 15 DL.

A lot of mixed reactions to Andruw coming back some boo and some cheer, but he is still playing really bad striking out too much.

Andruw finally got his first homerun of the season

personally, im glad to see andruw gone.
kotsay is filling in the void plenty right now.
doing a hell of a lot better than jones.

as for the actual game i saw it all on fox.
very nice 4 run inning. leaving that many ppl
on base is asking for a loss though. luckily the dodgers
didnt want the win...

bring out the brooms for tomorrows game.
hopefully the braves can finish this series off
and roll right into the next one!

he's doing better than Andruw at the plate..
grin.gif
dudesalways be getting that twisted.. acting like baseball only consists of taking hacks at the plate..

And if you seriously would rather have mark kotsay over andruw jones for any entire season.. then
laugh.gif

Mark Kotsay has never produced like Andruw has in his entire career while i miss Andruw it would've cost the Braves way too much to keep him see what theDodgers paid. I would've liked to keep Andruw if he would've taken a huge paycut and if the Braves were financially good to throw money around like theMets, Yankees, and Boston.

I would've loved to see Andruw remain a Brave for his whole MLB career but it didn't happen at least if and when he goes into the hall of fame he willdon the Braves cap.
happy.gif

Damn Andruw is struggling with the Dodgers as of right now, but at least he got his first homer of the season back to Turner Field.
tired.gif
But Mark Kotsay is is filling in his void in a good way.
pimp.gif

Lets get a sweep tomorrow.
pimp.gif

Our offense is terrible right now,
smh.gif

Leadoff man got on in 7 of the 9 innings and we only managed one run, Andruw Jones' first HR as a Dodger (
smokin.gif
)

The whole team is getting off to a slow start, hopefully we can salvage one win tomorrow and beat the Reds.

Martin, Jones, Kemp, Ethier need to get going. The only two producing are Kent and Furcal. Raffy is on another level right now.
