PLAYOFFS

Sun 1/1/2010 1:00 PM vs Ravens

key position battles:
TE: one of the most competitive battles in the league. benjamin watson, chris baker, alex smith, david thomas, and tyson devree are the main people competingfor spots. my guess is one or of them will be cut since bill loves TE's (pause)

RB: the backfield is loaded with the addition of fred taylor. along with laurence maroney, sammy morris, kevin faulk, and ben jarvis green ellis...this is moreof a deep committee of backs than a competition. kevin faulk will be the third down back, with morris, maroney, and taylor splitting the remaining carries.green-ellis will probably be there to fill in any holes.

QB: the battle for third string QB, assuming the plan on having o'connel as the main backup to brady established, will be between andrew walter and brianhoyer (from MSU).

CB: leigh bodden, shawn springs, terrence wheatley, jonathan wilhite, darius butler are the main people vying for starting/roster spots. mike richardson andherana-daze jones are also currently trying to make the final roster. good luck.

those are the MAIN battles going on at camp. LB is also seeing a lot of competition but it's not as wide open as CB.

my prediction for the year:
14-2

i won't make playoff predictions for obvious reasons

I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED A BRADY-LESS LEAGUE LAST YEAR,

BECAUSE IT'S A WRAP THIS YEAR!

RANDY WILL GET HIS RING!

besides the unstoppable toss, i'm really looking forward to watching the maturation of Brandon Meriweather this year. Ed Reed Jr. is going to establishhimself as a bona fide ball-hawk and a feared force around the NFL.

without further ado, my official prediction for the season:

19-0.

THE PATS WILL SEAL THE DEAL THIS YEAR!

the unstoppable toss is going to be back with a vengeance.

Just had to come through and say good luck. Gotta say things are looking good for a Pats SB. Hopefully a Pats/Falcons SB

falcons are gonna be solid this year i think. i like matt ryan so i wouldnt mind it if they made it to the SB.

and

at you.
Just because you're a pats fan doesn't necessarily warrant your homerisms for who the GOAT is.

I am a laker fan, and as of right now I would not say kobe > MJ.
to be honest, there isn't much kobe could do to convince me otherwise.
I know that when comparing MJ & Kobe in terms of being a good player, person, and teammate that MJ is out of kobe's stratosphere.
It's the same way with randy moss and tom brady.
randy moss is a horrible teammate, in fact here's a quote (from wikipedia) to back that statement up.
"However, Moss stated the losing seasons on the Oakland Raiders negatively affected his playing and discouraged himduring the team's practice"
smh.gif
randy moss is not a winner, a winner is someone like nnamdi asomugha who goes out there and works his tail off and does everything he can to make the bestof a situation. Randy moss is a loser who did the worst possible thing and GAVE UP. Not to mention his lack of respect towards jerry rice after breaking hissingle season TD record.

The guy has absolutely no class whatsoever, and IMO that will never change.
Rice is the classiest guy to ever play the game of football. He worked his %+@ off to compensate for his lack of physical gifts and he was able to reach thetop that way, through hard work.
Rice's tutoring and mentoring is the cause of Terrell Owen's success in the NFL today.
Even TO pays tribute to him by saying that he learned from the very best there ever was at the wideout position when he was in SF.
Does moss even have anything that somewhat parallels the above example? NO
and he most likely never ever will.
Moss's legacy will always be one that is tainted by his antics at lambeau field and oakland.

Rice > Moss
Montana > Brady
5 > 3
49ers > Patriots

PEACE!!!
