Well, that was disappointing. I hate it when I intend to watch a Cubs game and they suck so bad I just watch Jumanji on AMC instead.

Saves:
Rule 10.20 in the Official Rule Book states:
Credit a pitcher with a save when he meets all three of the following conditions:
(1) He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his club; and
(2) He is not the winning pitcher; and
(3) He qualifies under one of the following conditions:
- (a) He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning; or
- (b) He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, or at bat, or on deck (that is, the potential tying run iseither already on base or is one of the first two batsmen he faces; or
- (c) He pitches effectively for at least three innings. No more than one save may be credited in each game.

for a 8 run lead before hegame in.

I did not expect that from Lilly, but maybe the extended layoff messed with his timing. I expect a much better game from him in 5 days.

Z has no such excuse. This is his second start since the break, let's hope he can throw a good game tonight.

Yep. Plus, I forgot how hot the Phils were....8 straight wins before Mon night. Even J-Roll is starting to hit. If Pedro is even halfway as goodand they somehow get Halladay, I don't see anyone stopping them in the NL.

That truly was a debacle. Lilly (as any pitcher) is allowed a bad day....that was his.

Homer Bailey is soooo damn bad and this team is painful to watch. Don't know how much more I can take this season.

Well... at least that game was longer. Who stole all the Cubs hitters skills and left them looking like clumsy bumbling idiots? Word to Space Jam!

Well, at least Harden did ok. (I thought Z was pitching last night, my bad)

Hope Z can pitch well today, we need to get at least one of these games.

First Born, where you at bro? Ain't seen dude for a min now

Woulda been nice to get a few more runs in that inning, but 5 run lead in the 7th is pretty good.
