San Jose Sharks center Jeremy Roenick will announce his retirement Thursday, according to a report from Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
Roenick, who spent 20 years in the NHL, will be ending his career after two seasons with the Sharks, who have scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. ET Thursday.
Roenick, 39, known for his outspoken, charismatic and sometimes-grating personality, is a nine-time All-Star and two-time Olympian. He began his career in 1988-89 as a first-round pick with the Chicago Blackhawks.
