OFFICIAL 2010-2011 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD : VOL. MOST. ANTICIPATED. PLAYOFFS. EVER?

I'm not going to lie, I'm going to miss Sasha. Always gave it his all on the court. Iced those crucial free throws in Game 7.

Good luck, Sasha!

Yeah, I'm not understanding this at all. Nets must know something though. Cuz all the dudes they got rid of haven't turned into anything to write home about as yet.

Courtney Lee
CDR
(Don't let me go further back to Antoine Wright & Marcus Williams).

Add in the players that seem to take a big drop in stats after leaving NJ, and I'd have to say NJ's FO seems to know what they are doing.

Vince
RJ

Hell, even J-Kidd to an extent.

That kid is NICE out there, I'm not stupid, but in terms of his individual game, that kid can't make free throws, OR jumpers, which D-Rose can do just fine now, and is still improving on.  But I got numbers guys comin at me with their graphs tellin me that D-Rose isn't elite, but Rondo is?

It's a load of crap.  I know Rondo makes that ship run, but let's not act like it wouldn't be fun to run around the court feeding Hall of Famers buckets.  Can they do the same work if they simply switched teams?  No, you can't really say that because their roles would change, their jobs would change, but I know one thing, Kobe wouldn't get 15 rebounds in game 7 playin off Rose like that.  Rose wouldn't miss half his free throws (when he gets to actually shoot them

I get the label of hating all the stat stuff, when my argument was merely that they are no where near the be all end all.  But when dude comes in and says a player isn't elite because he can't get to the foul line, no way in hell I'm letting that go unchecked.  And I got no stake in Rose or the Bulls.  I could care less what they do or how they imrpove.
But I can talk NBA all day with ya'll and never get tired of it.  So I spoke up is all.

I don't know if I'd agree with VC nor Jason Kidd.

VC I can see where you're coming from, but Jason went from being the only guy, to being second fiddle and a guy who all they ask is to pass the ball.

But, I definitely see where you're coming from,

If I was Chicago, I'd take a gamble on Lee. His 3 point shooting is up this year and he's looked better than he did last year.

BTW Wiz fans, I was reading some stuff from David Thorpe today and he said that Wall being injury prone is not a concern. I'd trust him over Flip.

Or maybe they don't know anything. They're the ones picking these guys in the first place. Wright, Boone, Marcus, S.Williams, and now T.Williams who has already had a drama-filled season.

And about Vince Carter? Come on. It has to do with going from a rookie in Brook Lopez and Devin Harris to Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis, etc. more so than the Nets "knowing anything". You go from being the lead dog to the sideshow of course your stats are going to go down. And it's not like he took a complete nosedive either.

Richard Jefferson? He had a very respectable season in Milwaukee. His PPG total was still at 20 and his rebounding total actually went up.

I'll give you Jason Kidd.
